so for the 3rd reincarnation the MISL is back as the top tier Indoor soccer league in the United States and Monterrey. I liked the NISL name but MISL is more known by people and there was a legal issue that they could not use NISL so they bought MISL out of court.

They were able to keep the same logo though which kicks ass.

lol, funny thing was with the "old" MISL when the teams folded like Kansas City and St. Louis, they still kept their website links on the main page and updated them with random crap.

But yes, the Milwaukee Wave replace the Mass. Twisters(whom were funded by the league anyways)

Hoping next year to have a few teams come in, already know a team in Virginia will be coming in, they just didn't want to jump the gun for this season. Evidentally former Storm Coach Steve Morris might be their coach.

And if people didn't know, i guess the STORM is still around. they are playing in the semi-pro USL(ultimate soccer league). Their games will now be played @ the Sportszone in Melrose Park. First game is this Sunday @ 9pm.

Rockford Rampage SWEEP!!!!! PW's Milwaukee Wave in a Home-n-Home series this past weekend.

Saturdays game saw the Rampage come from behind 7-2 to win 10-7 and on Sunday @ Milwaukee the Rampage scored 6 seconds into the game and pulled off a 7-6 win on a controversial 3pt goal (thats why they need to get rid of it or make it the damn yellow line again)

Rampage are now back on top into a First Place tie with Defending Champions Baltimore Blast

Next Home Game is Saturday, January 30th @ 7:05pm contra La RaZa de Monterrey. La RaZa is always a great opponent, we are 1-0 against them so far and last season 3 of the games went into OT.

Games have been exciting last 4 they are 2-2 and the games have been decide by 3,1,3,1 pt differentials.

Myself and the ol' lady checked out Milwaukee @ Rockford on Saturday. I was pretty skeptical of the indoor soccer thing, but I recommend checking out a match or two. We cheered for Rockford of course because my hometown is a half an hour west of Rockford.

Rockford Rampage streak continues up to 3. Won @ Philadelphia 22-12(first win v. Philly this season 1-3) Rampage had 39 shots on goal and the philadelphia players registered 24 blks compared to Rockfords 10 so basically on that small carpet in Philly Rockford was just taking target practice.

Next Home Game is this Saturday, Jan. 30th v. La RaZa de Monterrey.

effective as of this week the MISL tweaked a rule for goalkeepers that has been in place for a few years now...but some indoor leagues still didn't follow. http://www.misl.net/...?article_id=171

Now goalkeepers are not restricted to the 3 line throw and 2 line pass. Goalies can now kick it over 2 lines just like a field player and they can now heave the ball from end to end if they like.

I for one did bring this up as a rule change and instead of next year they instituted it mid-season (go figure). I like playing this style of play as I don't think goalies will be heaving the ball every play downfield, but sometimes during the run of play a player will try to run for a break and now there will be no violation for a 3 line throw. Its back to old school Indoor of the 70's and 80's with this rule change or you can say just getting rid of the rule.

wow, rule changes leads to more deep passes by goalies....only leads to 2 actual goals and a PK...bravo defensive mexican indoor, bravo

La RaZa win 4-2 and are in first place now half a game over the Rampage and Wave.

Almost insighted a riot after the game...but it was just for show...stupid Bontti...that puto.

Postgame was great at Alvarez Restaurant...but I still have 2 left feet toward dancing

next game is V-Day weekend WILD BOYZ Invasion of Milwaukee February 13th(6pm) and V-Day itself @ home(5pm) versus the Philly KiXX.....Kid tested, Mother disapproved.
