Yeah ... meara needs to start. No way they score that 2nd goal with meara in the net. And the third goal... I will take my chances with meara. He is more capable of doing a crazy save. I have yet seen coronel do one save where I can say wow .

Also the gk communication skills are so critical right now with very inexperienced defenders at CB. Coronel doesnt command the box. He is shy. Meara is needed.

Saw both NE goals on MSG during the rebroadcast. What was Coronel doing on the 2nd goal?

i was at the nets game and my friend texted me that the goal was bad.  Then when i saw it at home it was even worse than i even imagined.  Worse goal a goalie has conceded here in a decade.  Literally I could save that shot.

He gave up almost the exact same goal last week!

Is Coronel on a half season loan or he's here for the entire year? If so, he should be demoted to 2nd Lt.

last weeks goal was bad, but he was literally stationary at the near post for this one figured out a way to concede.

full season with option to buy it looks like.  But I'd pay RBS a transfer fee to take him back at this point

If we somehow could offload Coronel/Jensen Pendant and Diarra in July...

Yeah Im not going to fault Thelwell on either Coronel or Diarra, I feel like that lies at the feet of Struber and his preference to have a couple Salzburg guys on the squad

Not that I think Diarra isnt talented, but theres really no point keeping him around and paying him $400,000 if he cant play

Even with all the roster moves this window there is still some room for dead weight to be moved on and possibly admit some fault on some other acquisitions

They cut the Gulbrandsen loan short, so there is precedent.

Not a fan of Pendant, but we could use him right now with Gutman hurt.

Yeah, I'm a fan of Duncan but not at left back. I'm good with Pendant as a 2nd choice left back. Gutman is far above him and that's a good thing.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a wide player drop off so badly after moving to the other side. On the right Duncan is an elite MLS fullback, but I'm genuinely wondering if Tolkin isn't a better option on the left right now.

Was gonna say his game against the Revs he actually made some pretty good saves and showed some good shot stopping ability but that means fuck all if you're gonna throw one into the net every game. Not impressed. Give us Meara.

RBS sends a lot of their trash to RBNY. How many decent players have they actually loaned the team and how many of them were worth the transfer fee paid for them? Not a whole lot. That's because RBNY is essentially a farm team for RBS which is a farm team for RBL. It sucks but it's the truth.
