I'm surprised anyone is still going to the pubs inside RBA!I went to the game last night vs Columbus and went to the Corner Pub. Holy shit. I'm not one to complain about bad service and I'm extremely patient, but this was out of control bad. ... it was so ridiculous.
If it's any consolation, the post-game food service inside El Pastor's was equally poor. I bought a steak sandwich at the outdoor bar & was promptly served at the grille. Others ordered food from the kitchen, and had not been served 45 to 90 minutes later!

At el pastor, the out side grill is quick, and inside, it isn't that bad, I get served within a decent amount of time. No complaints and that is with a relatively packed el pastor.

I prefer my food fresh, still don't get why people would eat at a place only open a few times a month?

Yeah, all things considered I'm glad we left. I wasn't hungry to begin with, but the guys with me wanted to try it. This place would make a good Food Network show.

^^ This experience blows mine out of the water.
I went to the game last night vs Columbus and went to the Corner Pub. Holy shit. I'm not one to complain about bad service and I'm extremely patient, but this was out of control bad.
Five of us sit down at about 6:05. Tick tock, tick tock....waitress gets to the table at about 6:30 and we think we're going to get our order taken (this is after 2 or 3 appeals to anyone in a work uniform to get our order taken). But alas! The waitress can't find her pen and she disappears (apparently to get in her car and drive to Staples). About 6:45 she comes back with pen (and paper!). At this point I'm about ready to have a stroke because we've already been there for 40 minutes and there is no way we're getting food before the game kicks off. Players are on the field, we can hear the National Anthem, still no food. Game starts and none of the 10 tv's have the game on. Columbus scores in the 3rd minute and we finally said eff it and left...told the waitress to just cancel the order on the way out (luckily we were in our seats before Henry scored the equalizer).
I've never seen this level of incompetence at a restaurant. All of the tables around us were in the same boat. Guys from two different tables tore the manager (I think that's who he was) a new one. A couple of tables were able to get their food to go just as the game was getting underway. Another guy was pleading with the employees to at least get the game on the tv. They would send a guy out from the kitchen with a tray of food (apparently they do actually serve food here...it's not a myth), he would have two other guys flanking him, and between the three of them it was like solving a rubik's cube figuring out which of the 12 tables to bring the food to. At one point, I watched them come out with a tray, fail to figure out which table they were supposed to go to, and end up just taking the food back to the kitchen.
It was like a Twilight Zone episode or something. It wasn't worth complaining to the manager...plenty of others were doing so and it was getting them nowhere. I was waiting for the Candid Camera crew to come out of a back door it was so ridiculous.
I got to the Corner Pub at about 6:30pm on the night of the Houston match. There were no seats, so me and my buddy stood at the bar, got a beer, and ordered wings from the bartender. I rarely go to the Corner Pub, and when I do I never order food, but I figured we had plenty of time so why not give it a shot. Oddly, they made us pay immediately--I now understand why.
When the wings were still not out by 7:00 we asked if there was any ETA. Still no panic since it was an 8pm kick off, but 30 mins for wings is a stretch and we were both pretty hungry. The bartender told us they should be out any second. 15 minutes later with no wings in sight we asked again and she said she was not sure what was going on, she would run back to the kitchen and see what the deal was. A few minutes later she returns and says they were a little backed up but should be out any minute. So, at about 7:40, when we still did not have wings, we asked again, explaining that we wanted to be in our seats by kickoff. She runs to the kitchen, says our order is the next up, any second now, so sorry, etc, etc.
Eventually 7:50 hits and now we're both starving. One hour and 20 minutes for an order of wings. The bartender we were dealing with initially is no where to be found, so I ask the other woman working the bar what was going on and she says, "How about you'll get them when you get them." I shit you not, she snapped at me for wondering where the wings we ordered were after nearly 1.5 hours. Are you fucking kidding me? If I hadn't paid already I would have walked out long before then (while $12.00 or whatever they cost is not the end of the world, it was the principal of the whole thing). I get it, you probably have a lot of people asking for their food (although the pub was pretty empty at that point), but I'm not the one who can't make an order of fucking wings in a timely fashion, and I wasn't being a dick when I asked her--in fact, at that point I was probably being way more polite than most people would have been-- so dont take that shit out on me. I told her how about I get either the wings or my money back in the next 30 seconds, and at that point the other bartender came rushing over, apologized profusely, said she could wrap them to go (to which I said no, wings, IMO, are way too messy to eat at your seat), and then raced back to the kitchen and came back with them a minute later. We plowed through them and made it to our seats during lineups, but what a fucking debacle. Never again.
The wings were pretty good though, all things considered.

I have contacted them in the past and the response I get is basically: We're sorry your opinion of the pub is negative but we get lots of positive feedback on the service.
It kills me how much money they are pissing away with that pub. We've sat at tables with supposed waiter/waitress service only to have them disappear for 20 minutes at a time and food taking way to long to come out. It's not a big deal that we don't go there anymore since we always hit up Bellos pregame, however there are times like the weeknight games where it would be convenient to be able to sit at the pub in the stadium and grab a bite and a few drinks.
I don't recall having issues in the stadium club at Giants Stadium when we'd be there after games - even when there were some crowds after some bigger games.

I mentioned it when I called to tell them my STH gift notebooks were printed upside down and they said pretty much the same as above. Sorry, this must have been an isolated incident, we rarely get any complaints, etc...
They did offer to replace my upside down graph paper notebooks though, so I guess there was a somewhat happy ending.
