He will be now... but it says something when you pay that much for someone and they ride the bench

Milner or Fabinho to RB...think he'll lock down the spot vacated in midfield.

If we lose our best prospect for 3m, it'll go down as one of the worst outgoing transfers in our history.

We are lucky to get anything! Soccer America says Adams is the only MLS youth prospect going to Europe in 2018, who brought a transfer fee. Everyone else just waited to turn 18 and became free agents.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I couldn't read the article because you have to register, but off the top of my head both Davies (Vancouver) and Chris Richards (FCD) were transferred to Bayern.  Davies was for $14 million plus incentives.  I'm not sure that the Richards transfer was actually finalized, but a fee of $1.25 million is reported.

Perhaps it was just listing U-18s?

A comparison would be Jack Harrison who transferred from NYCFC to Man City for $6m.  Sorry but Adams is a better prospect and much more upside i.e. with USMNT while Jack Harrison realistically will never play for England.  Bottom line, it should have been minimum $10m.

Leipzig could also buyout the sell on clause if they agree to terms with rbny.

Assuming Adams gets resold at $20M (which is no guarantee but certainly in the realm of possibility given his potential), then the deal will be worth $10M or more to us.

I'm actually ok with the structure of the deal as is. We share in the upside while still getting the max benefit from an MLS salary cap perspective
