That's the bare minimum for RBS, their goal is progress in Europe maybe making it out of the UCL group stage for the first time.

And I don't buy this rumor. That would be too big a leap for Jesse I think. But plenty of previous Salzburg coaches have moved on to bigger jobs but none as big as Dortmund.

He still needs to win the League and advance in UCL or make a Europa run.  He has more he can show in 1-2 years.

But who know they may want to gamble on someone who can put them over the top as they is relatively young, can develop players, knows the league, knows German and seems like he can coach.

Who does RB have lined up for Leipzig? You would think they would promote him to Leipzig instead of letting him go to a competitor.

yes interesting but naglesman is young (shocked after googling that he is 32!!).  Maybe they think he is the one to take them to win the Bundesliga in the next few years.  After that he can decamp to EPL.

interesting that Jesse is even getting mentioned.

Heck if he got this job and Stuttgart get promoted there would be 2 US managers in the Bundesliga (both with significant NJ ties)

(excluding Shalke manager as he only briefly played for US and never lived here)
