Cool, hoping for some convenient doubleheader dates.

Good stuff.  Happy to see this.

Hope it works out being a permanent thing.

That awkward situation when Sky Blue starts to outdraw the Red Bulls...

Tarps - we don't need no stinking tarps!

cool

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

More money and business for the stadium. Good stuff.  Grounds crew going to have to work OT to keep pitch tip top though.

Sky Blue did manage to avoid the wooden spoon this year, finishing 8th in a 9-team league.
A 10th club is needed, to avoid byes.
Someplace in California, perhaps.
That could also create East & West divisions,
playing local rivals 4 times & the others twice.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

saw an article mentioning that if SBFC wants to break even financially, they need to avg ~5k per match. that certainly seems do-able from a fanbase perspective. i would also be interested to see if the team strengthens the roster.

i think Portland has the highest attendance.

Is that right?  I don't see them doing that on average this season...

Soccer just hasn't caught on enough in this area.  Even women's.  Just competing with too much in this area.  They'll get the short term boost early in the season, then it will drop off. I think they'll average around the 4ks.

they got ~8.5k for the 2 games there this yr. i think breaking even, at the very least, is do-able.

Yeah, because they were unique situations.  Pulling that off each game is a different beast.  I'm curious and hopeful but I don't think they end up averaging over 5k.

Thorns reported an average of 20,000!
New kids Utah reported 10,000.
Unsure how creative the rest were:

Both the games were switched over to RBA on very late notice, pretty sure they didn't even have 2 weeks advance for either.
