No Sacha or Robles on USMNT WCQ roster.

Former Metro Tim H Tim F MB90 Jozy and that Dax guy made it.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

To be honest, I think this helps us..  Sacha is the captain and Robles is playing great. Don't want anything to disrupt Robles right now.

No Sacha is a big call for Arena. Wonder if that's based on Sacha's poor form in the games so far this season.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's called up when someone inevitably drops out late.

Think it's because Sacha's mobility isn't at the national level.  If it was, it just isn't anymore.

I think the only spot Arena can even consider him is when he uses a 4-2-3-1 and that's as the CAM.  PERHAPS you can get away with him next to Bradley in that formation, but Sacha can't play anywhere on the field if we use a 4 man midfield.

He was one of the best players on that roster 5 months ago. He obviously shouldn't be playing in a 4-man midfield vs world powers or even Mexico, but when the goal is to break down non-Mexico CONCACAF teams, he should be starting, not missing out on the roster.

And I say that as someone who generally doesn't like him that much. (shooooooot! and never take penalties!)

Problem is teams like Costa Rica and Honduras aren't pushovers anymore especially at home. Don't think he can ball with them but vs Cuba or Haiti, you bet.

I'm guessing he decided that he likes Bedoya over Sacha. Thought would be that he has CP pegged as the starting attacking mid.  Fabian on the left and Nagbe or whoever on the right.  Bradley and Jones deep in the center.

I do think we should go a 4-2-3-1 considering that's the formation most of these guys play in and naturally will know passing lanes to look to.

Yep. I understand the reasoning, just disagree with it.

I guess Sacha not flying on US duty helps RB. Unfortunate for him personally, I think he believed he'd be a regular for the qualifiers and potentially the World Cup.

The idea that someone who probably should've been the league MVP last year can't hack it against CONCACAF teams except the minnows says something. Whether it's about the state of MLS, the national team, or the people putting forth that argument I don't know.

Maybe Bruce just thinks SK needs to stay with his team to get his form and confidence up.

Love the guy but with how he played this year so far this isn't really all to surprising.

Sacha is in bad form. Would have liked to see a CAM on the roster though.

Deuce making it back crowds out Sacha and Benny.

Hopefully this will be a kick in the ass for Sacha.

On a side note, it's pitiful how bad the USMNT situation is at outside back. I love Beasley but he was supposed to be a patchwork solution 3 damn years ago.
