Zizzo for Lawrence is more than a "bad sub".

The Opara handball should have 100% been a red card. He purposely sticks his arm out to stop a ball that would have been a clear breakaway for BWP. Thats a red card. There's really no debate about it.

Zizzo is a right mid playing left back. Blame falls on Jesse for that one.
I'd say even more blame falls on our joke of a captain, who didn't even seem to break a sweat Wednesday night.

I will also vote for straight red for Opara on that play, he basically swats the ball as it goes by him.
Was it even called a foul? It should have been some kind of card at least.
Our side got away with a couple of things, but nothing so blatant.
Also there was an incident early in the game when one of their players kicked at Felipe (#11, I forget his name,) but that should have been some kind of card as well. Felipe sold it a bit too hard maybe.
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

LOL, what was the guy in the glasses on the right on about around 1:20 about RB not wanting the game to be at home? Instantly killed any credibility those guys had for me.http://www.espnfc.co...-open-cup-final

Robles/Meara is 20/20 hindsight.
Shaka had a semblance of a good point about the poor defending on both goals and then buried it in pointless cliches adding nothing.

Zizzo has unanimously been our worst player on the team, has consistently lost us points highhandedly with his repeated defensive mistakes. And he has had minimal success going forward.Lawrence has arguably been our best player this year both offensively and defensively. In this game specifically he was creating chances from his overlapping runs and crosses. It was basically the worst possible substitution you could make. Its not a coincidence that they scored as soon as Zizzo came on. You knew he was going to make a defensive mistake. Why would anyone think otherwise? Its so obvious to anyone that even pays half attention to this team, let alone coaches it.
This is 99% right, though to be fair from right back Zizzo has had more that minimal success going forward when we were playing a four man back line. Poor defender but he can hit a cross

Didn't want this team to win the US Open Cup. Because after so many years and winning a supporters shield pseudo-trophy, US Open Cup is absolutely meaningless and another pseudo-trophy. After all this time the first one has got to be the big one, and that's it

supporters shield pseudo-trophy, US Open Cup ... pseudo-trophy.
You're entitled to your own opinion, but that doesn't make you right.
The fact that Supporters Groups across MLS created, named & award the Supporters Shield indicates that the most die-hard fans follow an almost universal tradition in this sport, of recognizing the team with the best league record.
The US Open Cup is a century-old, nationwide competition, which thankfully has been embraced by MLS & most of its fans.
An argument can be made that MLS Cup is nothing more than a glorified League Cup, which is a third-level competition in countries that even have it.
Perhaps you should re-consider.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Love that all the things we've lamented about this game were touched on..... especially when they question the inner reason that Veron does not get field time!
