The "synergy" is the problem and always will be.    Playing with one striker has to be one of the dumbest strategies in football.  And when that striker is Barlow, what do you expect ?   this is the same club that jettisoned DeRosario , one of the most talented players in MLS history , 2.5 months into his RB career for Dax McCarty.  What could they have accomplished with DeRosario and Henry on the same starting 11 ?   SYNERGY !  CATCH THE FEVER !

Havent we played with two strikers this entire season?

Did you watch DeRo here? Did you watch Dax here?

One thing I actually dont get is why Luqui is on the right and Morgan is on the left after we used the opposite setup last year . Morgan is more two footed . Luqui isnt too footed enough that when he cuts in from right his body orientation to drive from defenders is limited. And until Harper or ngoma he cant beat guys in a race down the sideline.

To be fair, DeRo ended up as the league MVP that season and Dax was average, at best, that year.

Every year after...we won that trade and it wasn't close.

Yea, Im not saying DeRo wasnt great that year for DC, but he was average at best during his spell here.

Morgan called his shot. He wants to play on the left, but I agree.

Morgan also a better option to interchange with Harper if hes playing RB, either can stay wide or cut inside. Tolkin is still not getting forward enough on the left.

Agree on Tolkin not getting forward enough, but I sort of felt this was cover for Harper being more inexperienced... Tolkin staying back more allows Reyes and Snealis to cover less area if (when) Harper gets caught up field.

I'm hoping Tokin and Harper start switching who advances as season progresses....
