Here it is

Quick takes...
  • We're home for five of the first six games
  • Our away match to San Jose is scheduled for Stanford Stadium on June 30, which tells us 1) The G's will sign Beckham, 2) Beckham will leave for England on July 1.
  • Chivas away is on my 28th wedding anniversary.
  • July will be busy
  • The unbalanced schedule will take some getting used to.

Further,
  • Montreal is on a Saturday in May
  • Portland then Vancouver away are again in the same week in July
  • Chivas home is the next game after Portland/Vancouver...what a cap to a week!

FYP. Chivas away is the week after Montreal away.

Thanks, fixed.
  • Also, we don't play away to RBNY nor to the Union this season. I would like a 4 day stretch where we get both NY and Union away...
  • For those interested in a KC road trip, date is 4/7.

Major League Soccer Soccer dot com says MLS Cup final will be Saturday, December 1st, which is interesting. That could allow them to have more rounds on weekends or still take the weekend after Thanksgiving off, neither of which are a bad idea...

The weekends we have off (as of now) appear to be June 3, August 19 (preceded by a midweek in Columbus) as well as the FIFA dates in June, Spetember and October. The 8/19 weekends seems too late for a EuroClub to be over here while the June date seems too early. It still wouldn't surprise if something gets moved so we can play a money-spinner at the Rose Bowl/Moseleum...

Weekender in Montreal is "the trip" this year.

MLS Cup is one week later than last year, and if they removed the week between the Conference finals and the MLS Cup, there's two extra weeks... why was it impossible to add the home and away vs Montreal and keep the balanced schedule?

Who's got the calendar in an importable format? I need to get the dates into my outlook.

Unbalanced schedules blow. I was going to plan a trip to D.C. to visit my brother around a Galaxy match.

Unbalanced scheduled blows indeed. I hope one day the league gets this right. I wont hold my breath, not while Garber is still in charge.

There are worse commissioners than Garber, like most if not all of them, if you look around the US sports scene.

I'd have liked to see them stick with a balanced schedule too, but it would also have been 36 games, and then 38 if they add another team. Evidently that's more than they're prepared to have, especially once you throw in all the other competitions.
