Murillo blows a clearance. Former Metro Manolo Sanchez scores.

Lose 1-0.

Complete control of the game, blown opportunities in final third and problems in the back. Sounds like another team I know...

Also only 5 people on the bench, the mystery of the non-full bench continues. Oh wait, it's not a mystery, we're too cheap to build a full roster even with loans.

No Valot, Kutler, Abidor, Scarlett, Bonomo, Lombard, Ryan or Mines.

Diaz below Louro on depth chart now?

Yup. Sounds like Murillo is more of the same. Great.

Bonomo was in street clothes at the game at MSU Park.

Wasn't it his 1st minutes of any kind with us? So a fuck up makes it 1-0. Hey it sucks, but he should improve. They flipped Najem to the right side in the 2nd half. Flemmings for Muyl, I think?

Forget the screw up, Murillo had too many problems beyond that.  He has mobility and isn't complete trash with the ball, but I seen very little in terms of defensive instincts.  Sucks too because I was hoping he was farther along.  He needs seasoning and with him being a loan, I don't even know if it's worth it.

I thought one of our best players out there was Zeiko.  Kid looked really good.  At everything too. Great short area touches, good defensive work and hustle, a nose for the goal.

I really liked Zeiko these two games and that surprises me because I wasn't crazy about him in the preseason.

Bilyeu looks decent at centerback. He's an option for us.

Metzger just isnt' an MLS player.  Keep him down there.

Basuljevic is pretty good. Athletically is at MLS level, wonder how he'll continue to handle the physicality.

Ndam has qualities but still very raw.

Not a fan of Bezecourt... Don't see him at MLS level.

Allen I don't see making the transition to MLS either.  Good passer of the ball and good mind, but ahtletically just doesn't have quickness or even strength.  I don't know how he'd make it work at the next level.

Muyl is Muyl.  Works his ass off.  Will always have a place in MLS because of that.

Saw a lot of very positive things written about Zeiko, seems like he's settling in really well.

was very proud of Zeiko. shame he couldn't finish and it went just wide. i saw an athletic save from the Islander keeper, was that a cross or shot by Zeiko?

Game starting in a bit.

Lineup is as follows:

----Allen---Valot

Bezecourt----Tinari

---Metzger--Basuljevic

OToole Bilyeu Schmool Najem

I liked the Tinari kid in preseason but with that said, I don't see him making it in MLS.  He is a good player for a team at the USL level though.

To be honest, of this 11, the only 2 players I see as MLS quality are Basuljevic and Bilyeu.

Louro starting.
Xavier Kennedy on the bench. Diaz out injured.

16 of 18 spots filled.

Others missing are Lombard, Bonomo, Scarlett, Ndam, Kutler, and a couple academy kids (academy tournament is this weekend as well).

Of the USL guys:
Bezecourt and Valot are MLS quality. Najem has some games that make him look great, others not so much. OToole will be a MLS player after school. Tinari and Schmoll may not get to the MLS level.

Flemmings on the bench doesn't surprise me. Hasn't played well since the injury. Needs more time in training.
