I doubt you read it either, since it is not a book but either way if 2018 wc is moved to England as Igor suggested my money would on on England winning it

Ugh... Reading a review about a movie is not reading a book. However, if FIFA is going to spend 30m of its money to put together a movie and they make the central villain of the movie England, they aren't going to go out of their way to fix a World Cup in order for them to win it. That logic makes absolutely no sense. The entire executive committee of FIFA has been spending the last decade accusing the Brits of being racist.

Ultimately, I made a joke that England could be spotted a goal per game and still not win it and followed it up by pointing out the very plain fact that Sepp Blatter and everyone (including Platini) utterly hates England... chill out a bit...

US SEC (securities and exchange commission, not southeast conference) is investigating several US companies that might be connected to the bribery.

Same news, different day:
https://www.thesun.c...orts-integrity/
I still do not expect there to be any consequences.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Damn, I was hoping that it was more arrests.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

They gave us the 2026 World Cup.
Apparently without bribes.
I would not expect new arrests until after the WC.

Well, instead of bags of cash, there could have been a hand-shake non-prosecution agreement. 😉

Apparently it was a mis-translation from French.  He was detained as a (compulsory) witness, is what I read.
