Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

I would be in favor of bringing back Wynne and getting LaBrocca since he is a local kid (and went to my high school).

i'd take wynne back.
LaBrocca seems to pop up every year as a reasonable CM/CAM depth, but he's not getting any younger. Still wouldn't mind having him if they could talk him down from his current $135k
Houston's list of players with options declined:
Omar Cummings
Andrew Driver
Anthony Arena
Bryan Salazar
Brian Ownby
Driver's always been an interesting player, great athlete and great dribbler but ZERO end product.
I'd take Wynne back in a heartbeat but not for $285k. Wouldn't mind bringing Buddle back over Sene, either. Again, not for $325k.
I want Soony Saad. He's 22 and made $51,500 this year. For the love of everything please bring that kid in here and give him whatever he wants.

Yeah Saad is decent. Good finisher.
Saad's off to a real league. If not England, then a Champions League club in a lesser country.

Side note: No idea Saad chose to play for Lebanon
Relevant to this topic: Yes I would like Saad as well
Sene IMO is a long term reclamation/ Rehab project. the talent is there. we just see a super out of shape/ out of form version of him right now. I'd rather roll the dice with Sene than hope to squeeze out what little production Buddle has left.
Laborocca seems like an OK pick up and his salary doest kill you but this guy had 1 good year with the goats and fell off the face of the earth. He's not going to make a difference and we need more quality than clutter on this roster. Same goes with Omar cummings. this guy would have also been awesome 3 or 4 yrs ago.
marvel wynne would be a good pick up. Maybe his range will help extend Olave's career ? That would be a super athletic CB pairing. I bet he can still play the RB position as well too
5 year plan
Labrocca and Wynne would be good. Pay him as much as Alexander and he'd flourish here. Wynne would be good cover.

Is this the draft where most players don't get picked up?

In the first round, it's rare. Has to be a gem at a good price.
Second round, if a team was smart, they'd pick up as many players as possible. They need to offer them a "bonafide" offer. Not very clear... but that's MLS. LA stacked up their roster a few years ago with starting players in the second round of the draft.
