Only seen him linked to Leipzig, RBNY not mentioned. Rumors never seem to pan out when we actually are the named club so I have even less faith in this one, but its fun to dream.

Article says Thelwell tried to sign him from Northampton and then bring him in on loan from Newcastle when he was with Wolves and it fits with the clubs recent interest in young players from England, so thats something

I can't imagine Leipzig would seriously be looking at a 24 year old in League One.

Yeah, leaning that way myself

Different if he was 19 and still developing, just based on highlights idk if hes at the level of the Bundesliga.

"New York Red Bulls have plenty of money"...

Ahem.

League 1 transfer records, in pounds:

https://www.transfer.../wettbewerb/GB3

So 4M lbs would be 10th highest in L1 history. If you remove teenagers, 6th highest. That's nothing to sneeze at.

Im not sure it would take £10 million, nor do I think they should pay that amount, but Peterborough have stated what they value Toney at and £4 million is obviously not enough to get it done.

Could also be posturing to try to get someone in the Championship or SPL to offer more $$

10M is absurd for League 1. Looking at that transfer list, the comparable is Britt Assombalonga, sold by the same Petersborough to Nottingham Forest for £6.21M after a 23-goal season six years ago. But Assombalonga was 21, not 24. Even when adjusting for inflation, 6M seems fair. Not sure if RB wants to spend that.

I've heard Bournemouth also looking and more in the 10m range than the 4.

Also sad that RB Leipzig just got 100m written off by papa Red Bull and we're squabbling over 6 million...

They'll probably get better offers than 4M, but anything more than breaking the League One record of 8.5M would be absurd.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.
