This is actually well summed up Spence. I am not a fan of ratting people out days, weeks after the fact. People need to be held accountable on the spot. How did the people around this person not see it? Why didn't anyone do anything about it?

I remember the incident with the rain-out and Liam and all that last year. I remember seeing that guy throw the smoke bomb and knowing immediately that shit was going to hit the fan. I remember thinking I should have run out there and stopped it when I had a chance and I didn't. It's a mistake I don't plan to make again, and i hope it's one that others will learn from too. If you see someone in the section about to do something stupid. Just stop them. Everybody will back you up if need be but chances are a second of intervention is all a person needs to come to their senses.

Thanks Jason. Even though we obviously don't agree on how big of a deal the smokebomb was. At least we can agree that if something that IS going to piss people off or cause drama that it SHOULD be taken care of right when it happens. And if anything ever kicked off where you needed help getting people out , you know that I and the rest of Ladder97 has your back.

For the record, if I'm ever standing next to some asshole who throws a smoke bomb onto my fucking pitch i'm taking him out. And when security comes to throw us out for fighting i'm going to look right at them and say 'if this asshole is going to throw smoke bombs onto our pitch then he's going to have a fight'. And I'm not bullshitting. There is NO EXCUSE for it. Those making excuses need to GROW THE FUCK UP because you know in your brain and in your heart that it's completely unacceptable. It's not an us against them situation (S8 vs Security) it's a respect for our team, field, section, human's in general situation.

See I respect Jason. And I know for a fact that he would be one of the poeple to actually "Self-Police" and get the guy outta there if he needed to be. But, I don't think that any of us are making excuses. I'm just telling my opinion and why I think that shit get realllllly blown out of proportion. If anything why wasn't the guy just taken out right then and there. Somebody MUST have seen him. But I guess the right people didn't see him though.  ;)

No, we're saying a Section 8 regular didn't do that because a Section 8 regular would know better.  "Caught up in the moment"?  Are you kidding me?  That's no reason to throw an incindiary device at our goalkeeper, ever.  Lighting smoke off in the section is poor form because it hurts our progress toward sanctioned smoke, and throwing it in our own goal is infuriating.  If I saw who did it I'd haul his ass to the nearest security guard in a second.  And I don't care about getting people in trouble when they clearly deserve it.  I'd rather one person take the heat they deserve than the whole section take the heat they don't.

A Section8 regular would know better? Fuck you, I've seen a Section8 regular do shit like that. Now I'm not saying I've seen them throw a smoke bomb at Slim. But I have seen them do shit that would cause just as much controversy as that. And I doubt it was intentionally thrown at Pickens but like I said..I wasn't there. And yes "Caught up in the moment" do you think someone would do that just to do it. No they were having fun, they wanted to look cool, they thought it would be funny. That sounds like caught up in the moment to me. Obviously not to you, but I could care less. And are you sure you would "Haul somone ass to security" do you really think you would? If you know that you would do that  good for you, props. But people talk all this shit on these boards that I don't see anything happening. Which is an implication to the "Self-Policing." And I know Ben and others are seriously working on that and I've seen Ben and others ask around to figure out whats going on when stupid shit like this happens. And Ben has done alot for this section and I love him for it. But when people that hardly show up to games and come on the boards talking about this and that and I never see them do it really makes me wonder? And I mean NO offense to anybody thats done good for the Section in any way or any form.

Wasn't there last night. But I'm with John. What is giving the persons name and info REALLY going to do. Probably nothing. I mean think about, what happend to the Ultra that threw it last year..nothing. And the bench incident last year. We gave our names, we got banned until we payed them, we payed them and the benches are fixed with fucking duct tape. Shit doesn't get resovled properly here.  And of course everybody is saying it wasn't a Section8 regualr  that threw it. Because if it was a Section8 regualr that threw it NOBODY would be saying SHIT. Thats the truth. And what happend if you got caught up in the moment and did something like that? Would you want to be immediately narced on? Fuck no you wouldn't. But go ahead..Hate me, disagree with me, and yell at me with your keyboard. I could give a fuck. I just don't like getting people in trouble.
