Foolish to roll with no Long replacement but they signed a DP striker so I guess we will have to take the victories where we get them.

Convert Barlow to CB? He is already a premier defensive forward!

Big, strong, fast sounds great in a CB.

Honestly why not try it our during preseason. He has no spot up top now with vanzeir, burke, klimala and Manoel.

None of those four can hold a candle to Barlow's defensive forward prowess.

I dont think Id waste preseason minutes that would be better served given to Nocita. Try it out with the 2s. The big concern would be Barlow is bad with the ball at his feet. S. Nealis is bad too though and hes found a way. Crazier things have happened.

Its still why I believe its a waste to play Reyes on the left and Nealis on the right side of central defense.

Regardless of side Nealis is not capable of distributing, hes still going to punt the ball forward aimlessly. Putting Reyes on the left puts the better passer in a less natural position.

I honestly wonder if Nealis is just so bad with the ball that Struber thinks a full game of receiving and passing/clearing it while favoring his weak side will result in a guaranteed couple of turnovers. Maybe more about keeping Nealis off his left foot more than it is getting Reyes on his right.

Left-footed CB would be neat. Haven't had one of those in awhile. Gideon Baah I think? Surely I'm missing someone...

I do not want to see d.nealis at CB.

If nocita and ndam do not look ready to be starters then we need to sign someone.

I would like us to make a move for teenage hadebe from houston, or Nathan from sj.

In 2021 when long was out pretty sure Nealis was LCB. I expect that to be the case again. But honestly would rather see what ndam and nocita can do at 3rd CB versus messing with our attacking depth. It will be easier to sell klimala and such in the summer
