Following a great season by the team and the continued growth of LARS and ACB one thing is glaringly obvious, we need to change the tone of interaction between both groups.

The pattern of the two groups taking the piss out of each other needs to stop. While we hope people in ACB will be taking similar steps, we can only be responsible for ourselves.

The #1 rule in LARS has always been "Don't Be a Dick" and it's important that all of us understand that this rule does not end at the aisles of 137/138.

So whether you find ACB annoying or think they're the most awesomest thing ever, please stop. Whether it's the "Taco taco" chant or changing the cross stadium chant to "Riot Squad" or mocking them on Facebook or our boards. We support the same team. We're glad they do what they do. Lets please leave it at that.

However, if you insist on having some sort of problem with them - this includes talking shit in person, via chants or online - Big Soccer, facebook or the LARS boards - please know that this is your own personal problem and not our (LARS) problem - and it will no longer be tolerated on our message boards or facebook page. Moderators will be deleting posts about ACB that are anything short of complimentary and persistent abuse will lead to temporary suspensions of posting privileges. This should be fully operational by the end of the week, hopefully sooner.

The bottom line: ACB will be there next year and so will we. We can support them or ignore them, but nothing more. Going forward, we will not be having problems with ACB - if you insist, you do so on your own.

I commend the spirit of the original post, but LARS on LARS violence is the true silent killer.

Call me a rookie, wanna-be, poser or whatever. Just to let you know, I have not been in the terraces since '96. I am not a season ticket holder. I barely know the chants of either ACB or LARS. And I have only been to 4 matches in 3 years. The only thing that I know is that I am a Galaxy fan. And I will always be a Galaxy fan. And I was completely heart broken when I was walking out with a particular supporter group and saw some ruckus just outside the grounds. With that, I went into the middle of the scrum to see what was going on. As a newbie, I was hoping that I would find an FC Dallas, Goat USA or a smurf jersey in the middle (not that I condone any violence in any way or any sense of the word). But, to no avail, I saw a different supporter group scarf/attire. I shook my head and instantly walked away.

For 90 minutes I temporarily felt proud to be a part of something as special as standing with a Galaxy supporter group. Rarely can anyone feel what it's like to be one of many for the sole purpose of becoming one. And that's an amazing thing. But, it only took .09 of a second for me to disgrace my perception of any Galaxy supporter group. When I first saw the other supporter group member in the middle of the ruckus, I instantly walked away. I did not leave in fear, or from lack of loyalty but, from embarrassment. I hope that any of you of which were the reason or cause of the ruckus, don't blame booze, the Galaxy loss, or someone else for your actions. You cannot do anything but look in the mirror and realize that you are "that guy". Because it is "that guy" that embarrasses the sport, fans in general and any and all football supporter groups across this country and world.

If we want these completely unnecessary altercations to stop. And stop for the only reason being: that all Galaxy supporter groups become respected and enjoyed 100% of the time, then we need to stop talking and be proactive. If you want "that guy" to be there, then you are more than likely "that guy". And I can tell you with some certainty; that NO ONE wants you to be there! And it would be greatly appreciated if you just go back to your slum and go back to watching your Throwball Raider games.

Lastly, for when I do go to matches I prefer to now 2 things: 1. that I'll have the time of my life and 2. that I'll be safe.

Just an idea; I think that it would be within everyones best interest that if you see anyone STARTING anything with anyone of an opposing supporter group/s, or fellow Galaxy fan, for that matter, to reprimand them. Put them on blast. Tell them that they're stupid. Embarrass them. 3 strikes and you're out! Document the occurrences. Best friends or not. I don't care. If my friend goes to a match with me a wants to be "that guy" I'll put him on blast and never take him again. If they don't believe in the group's mission then they don't belong there!

Call me wired but, I would just prefer to avoid the possibility that I could get beat up because "that guy" thought that I said "you're gay" when I actually said "good game". We're all on the same page. And if you're not on the same page, then go continue embarrassing yourself and be a Chivas USA fan. And don't come back!

On a lighter note, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Go G's!

So Who's That Guy was involved. I knew it!

McBean says good stuff. I catch a hint of Rumsfeldian prose in there but good stuff nonetheless.
