Ill embrace any opportunity to win a cup. Especially if we got no shot at supporters or mls cup. Cant throw away an entire season, right?
Ill sure we were all in to watch us beat down some euro teams in the emirates cup. We watch cash grab friendlies. I see no reason not to watch this.
To each his own.
I want CCL. IMO this trophy is completely meaningless.

At least there was a legit qualifying process for Leagues Cup this year. Last year it was literally just a collection of MLS teams that SUM thought had a large enough nearby Mexican American population that would buy tickets.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

5 wins is all it takes for USOC...BUT...in USOC play, we're allowed only 5 internationals in the gameday 18. not sure whether or not players with green cards are affected. good from a load mgmt perspective, gives some of the bench players plenty of experience.
Leagues Cup might be used like USOC, mix n match with players from the development/reserve part of the roster (21-30), rest the DPs, etc. We're gonna be on the road, anyway. Would be fine with Kaku Sims Royer sitting out.

Wasnt there criticism, of the MLS Teams that participated in last Years tournament, for playing B squads? Allegedly the LigaMX Teams took it more seriously. In any case, its a money grab tourney that we are not well equipped to go deep.....one and out!
I would absolutely play our b squad for this nonsense. I dont want any of our guys logging extra miles or god forbid going down with an injury.

I think it was Houston that openly and unashamedly sent their entire B-squad. I would prefer we send our U-17s.

I hope this thing is still on...
This is more of a priority for the league than the open cup, so I think so. However, youll no longer have the plus of getting Liga MX fans into the seats with playing in empty stadiums, so I cant see it making the leagues any money this year.

prob best chance for an MLS team to win it, since there'd be no LigaMX crowd in MLS stadiums.

MLS should focus on trying to get on network TV week in and week out. And the rest will follow...
And speaking of tournaments idk why in a country that likes parity and playoffs the MLS and USSF don't push to have the US Open Cup on TV from the very first round... March Madness and upsets entice US audiences.. They should try to sell those rights even dirt cheap to anyone... YouTube, Facebook Live, BeIn, FS1, TNT anyone.... But seriously..
MLS have to try to get off cable and onto prime time network TV maybe consider Friday night matches to not have to compete with College football or NFL
