agree, but you can't stop it.
102 wants to start it and the people in the stadium want to do it. Personally, I think it takes away from the game on the field and is disrespectful to the players, but whatever.
Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

To be fair, the game was pretty much over at that time. So no worries. Looked like the fans were celebrating. If this done while the game was in doubt, or if we were losing, Yeah, I would agree.

I was surprised to see The Wave rear its ugly head, at a peak moment in the season.
Especially since it was initially called The Seattle Wave in the USA!
(It debuted in Mexico, and was thus originally named The Mexican Wave.)
I'd prefer to see the entire stadium on its feet, roaring support for the team on the field, than having the crowd looking along the stands and timing its next jump-up in the massive circle jerk.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Eh, who gives a fuck? We were in run out the clock mode and had the game in hand. If there's ever a time it's OK, being up 4-1 at home in a sell-out isn't the worst time to do it.

You probably have not been to a game in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, or other Latin American country to enjoy a full stadium doing it. It is another way for the fans to express their enjoyment collectively.
Just because you do not like it does not mean shit. It always comes down to what the fans want to do to express themselves en masse! If it does not work, it does not work. If it does, good for them and you should try to enjoy it instead of turning your nose up like some kind of snobbish douche.

Fuck that it got everyone involved and all the people in my section loved it. First time wave got all around the stadium since I've been attending.

I hate the wave, but I'd accept it for that atmosphere and attendance.

IMHO the wave at that point in the match was almost clowning on Seattle. I'm ok with it in that circumstance. Most other sports the crowd is doing the wave cause it's bored.

Lets be real, it's no different than holding up some artwork or singing a little song. To call the wave disrespectful is absurd honestly.

I think they're different, but you're entitled to your opinion. I'm probably wrong. I really hate the wave.
