i thought that SJ would be easy as well back in late 2010.

But now they don't have the superhuman powerhouse that was Bobby Convey

Especially after coming back home up 1-0. That game still annoys me lol

it still pisses me the fuck off, since i made the trip out to SJ, thinking "1-0 up and we got this".

That was Petke's last ever game, and we had a cakewalk to the finals that year. Had we won that game, we'd have hosted Colorado, winner plays Dallas in the cup, and Dallas played like ass in the final.

We were really fucking close to the stars aligning for us to win a title that year. Instead, Balls.

Yeah I was about to say, this feels a lot like 2010.  Riding in off a high, looking good overall...then we get pantsed out of nowhere.  Under-estimate SJ at your own risk.  Innocent is filthy good.

They beat Seattle, and Vancouver no need to sleep on this one.

First of three games at home...SJ flying coast to coast on a short week...this is definitely a "trap" game...can't overlook them...especially with the Galaxy up next...

Looking for Sacha to have his breakthrough game.  Blah blah blah the little things, but Marsch told him to take more chances and be more aggressive against what should be lesser talent in MLS than he was used to seeing in Belgium.    It looks like he tried some of that against DC and was ineffective.    Even allowing for the positional adjustment, he should be in good form after a half season at Anderlecht, in front of a home crowd.     Time to do some of the big things and sell some "buy-a-vowel" jerseys.

Sacha should hopefully be better this game, he needs to produce more. But at least he's been getting better with each game....

Could his struggles be a result of him playing in an attacking role? In Belgium, he was more of a holding mid.  Could a switch with Felipe help him out?

it's what marsch wants. dax is anchored in front of the back four, felipe has a free role in midfield while SK is further up the field.

Even though he's clearly not playing to his full potential yet, Sascha is still second on the team in chances created behind BWP. Might just be a factor of his starting position on the field, but its still a good sign that even while struggling to acclimate he's creating something.

if BWP had put that finish away early on, SK would've looked better in our eyes. great pass from him with BWP getting to it in full stride.
