Agudelo's selfish douchiness is what kept him on the bench, with Henry's blessing.
Aguedelo is part of the generation of disappointment for the usmnt. A lot of hype and entitlement for guys that did nothing. This includes... hamid..johnson... kitchen...opara...valentin...adu...corona...diskerud...okugo...bunbury...gyau...and shea...sarkodie
So many busts in that generation. A lot of the blame goes to Klinsmann for not integrating them to the national team and mls for not doing a good job developing that talent
There is a lot more wear and tear in the midfield position when you compare it to the forward position.
BWP is a classic poacher. Doesn't rely on speed. He just knows how to position himself. That is why I don't think we will see rbny trade him. He will continue to be productive as long as he gets service
What will go away will be his ability to create his own shot which was never a strength.
There's no reason to have a "rebuilding" year in MLS. You can go from shit to pretty good in an off-season really easily (see: Fire, Chicago), so why punt a whole season just because you get rid of a couple of players? The pool of potential impact players in MLS, globally, is enormous.
chicago is going to fall apart next season since they are loaded with old players.
Also, dont think its a good idea to constantly rebuild with old players.
got to protect Sacha, you only get $50k if a player is picked up in allocation draft. We should be able to get more than that for the back to back assist leader even if the team wants him gone.
Isnt he a free agent? Why protect a guy who might walk? I would be shocked if he doesnt push fo a dp contract due to his production. I think rbny should not get suckered in and pay for what he did in the past but try to predict what he will do in the future. His future position is withdrawn forward at his age. Having two forwards at an afvance age is problematic.
