Gio will never come back here

Probably not. I wonder if NYCFC will make a play for him.

If he continues to play Yearwood at AM, fire him.

Stockholm Syndrome at its finest. He is a garbage coach for a garbage team. Fire him and everyone else all the way up, and all the way down. Fuck Red Bull. This isnt Metro. Long Live Metro.

Surprise, surprise. You can’t make duck soup with duck shit. The duck whiting speaking of is the front office choice of players and therefore system.

Lesesne is not at fault for the roster construction and can't finish the chances his players miss from 10 yards out from the sideline. That said, he hasn't helped himself by consistently playing Barlow for long stretches, among other odd tactical moves (Morgan on to take penalties, Manoel as lone forward, and others.)

Just disagree with making significant judgements on the coach. This team has little to no offensive talent. I don't think any coach could get more out of this roster offensively.

Lesesne is no more or less at fault for this team being garbage offensively than Struber. The xG stats have been basically the same under both. The finishing has actually been marginally better under Lesesne, but still terrible.

I think you can still make a distinction between players who are clearly on the same page but just can't execute, and players who don't really look like they know what they're supposed to be doing with the ball. We've seen too much of the latter for Lesesne to get a pass from me. Other than encouraging the team to keep the ball on the ground more, he hasn't really done anything to create a coherent attacking identity. Its been enough games that you should start to see it, you could see it from guys like Marsch and Carnell from pretty much day one. But if anything the team has regressed the past two games offensively.

After watching a few games, I am not a fan of his lineups.

He is wasting luq as a winger when his best position is central.

Not sure why yearwood is starting as an attacking mid. He is a dmid.

Edelman and stroud should be starting.

Amaya is a liability when he plays.

Barlow and manoel should not get any minutes. The only thing they do is run. The forward that should play every minute is burke.

This should be our starting 11.

...........Burke
Carmona... luq... Fernandez
......edelman...stroud.....
Tolkin..nealis..reyes...duncan
...........coronel.......

Harper, donkor and hurtado should be our subs.

I do feel bad for Troy, and, to a lesser extent, Struber.

I am starting to think that Burke was the most critical swing and a miss by the FO. It seems like they were expecting Burke to come in and being an everyday starter. In an alternate universe, Morgan, Luquinhas, and Vanzeir playing off of a strong target man like Burke should have been pretty dynamic.

It's not Burke's fault either. He plays incredibly hard, but he doesn't seem like he's the guy to lead the line on his own without dynamic players around him and he seems like he's a bit too fragile to play 90 minutes every week. He's being asked to do more than he really can be reasonably expected to and he seems to have regressed in terms of finishing as well...

I think the biggest indictment of Troy is how flat the team came out yesterday. Early on in his tenure, there was a lot of positive energy and it seemed like there was some semblance of attacking movement. Last night, there really wasn't any of that Barlow and Stroud, to their credit, caused a bit of chaos and pushed the team to pick up their energy level in he 2nd half, so those were probably the right subs, but the overall attacking direction was pretty slow and aimless.

Still, with better finishers, that game is probably a draw.
