Out for the year

So this is a back injury, right? Those can be tricky to rehab even with a competent medical staff

The fact that they shut him down speaks volumes on what they think of the next 5 games.

He only scores once every 5 games, so he already hit his quota for the rest of the season

It's hard to judge him on this year, with all the time he spent injured and suspended.  He never got into any sort of a flow or rhythm.  He looked like our most dangerous attacker, but that's not saying much.

I'd definitely like to see him back next year (assuming he wants to come back), with a few better players around him.

He is on about 750 minutes this year which is ~ 8 full games Stat heard on seeing red this week
The guy has skill
Need to get in rhythm support and not get injured or suspended and he will be better

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Honestly couldnt care less if he returns or not. Okay, decent stat that he essentially played 8 full matches and scored 5 goals, 6 if you give him credit for the own goal he created. The problem is we need 35 matches from him, not 8. We need 15 goals from him at a minimum. Just an awful first year for a big DP signing. Return. Dont return. I have extremely low expectations of him.

For his sake, it'd be best if he didn't return next year.  Better to go to some country where you can at least call a white referee a monkey.

I saw a stat today that he had the highest goals per minute of any RBNY striker since White in 2020.  He might not have been fantastic, but he was better than anyone else we have had in a while.  Also, there is good reason to believe he will improve if he can string together a run of games and gain some rhythm.  That is not something I have been able to say about any other striker on this team for about half a decade.

Cmon guys, he just injured his back.  It's not his fault, and it did look like painful ass landing.

5Gs in 872 minutes in 2020, after 9 in 2019.
Then traded in 2021. 33 Gs for VAN since. (26 MLS)

Had some nice shots/finishes, but also missed the target in several situations where a good striker would AT LEAST make the keeper work. Certanly excuses for this season can be found and hopefully he turns it around but I'm pessimistic.
