He started YESTERDAY for a top German team. He started all four RBL games in the Champions League. He scored in the Bundesliga a couple of weeks ago. Pretty sure this guy can still play. Just hope he comes here for the right reasons.

He hasn't played 2,000 league minutes in a season in 6 years.

He's missed 14 games due to injury since 2019/2020. Not bad at all over the past 5 years.
Not really durability, it's usually planned sub patterns and rotating players.

I read those numbers as "rarely fit to play 90 minutes."He's missed 14 games due to injury since 2019/2020. Not bad at all over the past 5 years.

We saw this play out at a much lower talent level with Cory Burke this season. If we're signing Forsberg to play those same minutes, then he will be a very expensive option off the bench. If we expect him to start nearly every game, as you'd expect with a player of his talent and (presumably) salary, then he's almost certainly going to miss serious time with injuries.

Those are his games played over the past 3 seasons.
Durability is not the issue. It's the Bundesliga. His competition for playing time is Benjamin Heinrichs or Christoph Baumgartner, not Omir Fernandez or Frankie Amaya. He is going to be rotated out there, especially when Leipzig take the lead, as they usually do. My biggest criticism of the guy has nothing to do with durability and more around his defending. Pros far outweigh the cons.

Even if he only plays 1,800 minutes, that's 1,800 I don't have to see Omir Fernandez fumble the ball straight into the opponent's lap every time he gets it in the open field.
I'm also not assuming that this is the one and only transfer this winter.

Let's get it done.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Hector herrara has been very good for Houston and same age at sigingWasn't familiar with his game because I don't watch Leipzig. Comments here makes me more optimistic about a 32 year old.

He's been 12th, 12th, and 13th in minutes played at Leipzig in each of those seasons. He plays frequently, but not with volume. If we ask a 32-year-old, who hasn't been a regular starter since Obama was President, to come in and take on the volume of a full-time starter, he will get injured. If we give him the same minutes as he's been getting at Leipzig, it'll be money better spent elsewhere.
If this isn't a DP signing, then it's fine, but I expect that this will be the team's one big signing of the off-season.
It's also probably worth pointing out that his numbers have taken a nosedive in the past 8 months. Since the March 2023 international break, he has 2 goals and 1 assist in 803 minutes in all competitions.
