Yes asking him to play more minutes is a risk, but his minutes totals cant be directly correlated to being injury prone.
Yes, he will be a DP. No, it isnt enough to turn the team into a contender. A 9 that isnt Barlow, Burke, or Elias and is a sure fire productive starter is needed. Other pieces in the midfield and defense need to be sorted.

Fabrizio Romano just confirmed it.. going to be a 4 yr deal. He will be a big veteran presence for this young team, great playmaker and great at set pieces. Instant upgrade to the attack.
I'm not familiar with his game; how does a great playmaker and great set piece talent have so few assists?
He may be an upgrade, but "upgrade" is a pretty low bar for this team.

Look at his highlights...He's no scrub. Past couple years Leipzig has brought in some big name talents at AM like dani olmo, nkunku, szoboszlai, xavi simons, baumgartner, fabio carvalho that's why he's been a spot starter or off the bench.
His stats the past couple years:
22/23: 43 games- 9 goals- 7 assists- 2100 min
21/22: 46 games- 11 goals- 4 assists- 2300 min
20/21: 41 games- 9 goals- 6 assists- 2200 min
19/20: 32 games- 10 goals- 4 assists- 1800 min
Let's not forget Europe doesn't do the secondary assists like MLS. Just cause assists aren't higher doesn't mean he wasn't involved.

This would be a great move, personally I'll delay my excitement cause I was really excited and optimistic about Dante and last season's possibilities, oops lol
haha for sure. This team still need another striker to pair with vanzeir but good start to the offseason.

Too greedy to ask for Poulsen too?
He just signed an extension. There was a rumor there was going to be a package deal with Forsberg but doesnt seem like thats on the table. Scouts need to do some work and not rely on the rich cousins throwing them a bone on that one.

Andres Iniesta registered very few goals and assists and is still widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the history of the sport. I'm hopeful that Forsberg will be a "rising tides raise all boats" sort of playmaker and help the attack as a whole, even if he isn't always the one getting the final touch.
I also think its fair to assume he'll notch a few more goals and assists in MLS compared to the Bundesliga.

Hell his 22/23 stats would still have him being #1 in goals and assists for our 23 season lol

A deal that takes him to the age of 36 seems very un-RB like... They can always use the buyout, I guess?
Can he become Sacha 2.0?
Still, an actual rumor of someone I don't need to google!

Not sure about 4 year deal but very happy to have him for next 2 years
We again signed a veteran player which is great
And its 3 months prior to season not 3 months in
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

I'm fine with it, these are the same rich cousin who stole out coach mid record season, forced a short term coach on us to train up for Salzburg, and just recently played that whole Clark deal where we buy, we trade, we buy again....
I'd say the bone throwing has been pretty one sided.... Instead of a synergy, it feels like we are to give tribute to our feudal lord. Nice something might be flowing back this way...

Saw a funny observation about Sacha, we kicked him out the door at 32! Would love for Forsberg to be anywhere near as effective for us.
Only question mark for me right now is whether there is any possibility he's coming here on a non-DP contract. Probably not, but it'd make me feel a little more warm and fuzzy about his durability over the course of his contract
