Have to think Luquinhas will get sold.  Bring on Forsberg as DP2, and another true #9 as DP #3

I also don't think Tolkin will get sold before the Olympics.  Sell after when his stock is hopefully highest - which means we'll have him for most of next season, probably gone in August. So we'll need to pick someone up and groom them to take over once he is gone.

----Forsberg--Morgan

----Edelman--Amaya

Tolkin--Nealis--Reyes--Harper

Why would you assume that Luquinhas is sold? He can play as an 8, a winger, or a CAM. We are thin at all those spots.

Has there been any updates to Morgan's health? A shame that he has such a 22 good season and then missed the entire 23 season besides the nonsense of putting him in for a penalty kick in leagues cup.

If they could make luqi a non DP then he's a keeper. IF they can't then sell him for a DP forward.

I'd like to keep Luquinhas and see how he does with Forsberg and a (hopefully) healthy Morgan next to him, and a healthy Vanzeir up top.

As the roster stands right now, a 4-2-3-1 makes the most sense:

Vanzeir

Luq  Forsberg Morgan

Amaya Edelman

Tolkin S. Nealis Reyes Duncan/Harper

If they insist on using the 4-2-2-2, then either Luq goes to the bench (again assuming that Morgan is healthy) with Vanzeir and a second striker up top, or Luq starts with Morgan in the midfield and Forsberg plays up top with Vanzeir.

Vanzeir by all accounts cannot be successful as a lone striker. Look at his time with Union St. Gilloise in Belgium always as a second striker. Any team/formation that still includes Vanzeir should probably be a 2 striker formation if the goal is for our DP to be successful.

He hasn't proven especially effective at any of those positions, at least not effective enough to justify a DP slot.    He's paid way too much for a guy who just dribbles around hoping for a foul.

You cannot win in MLS with Luquinhas as your driving force.

He is fine off the bench, but not if he is a DP. Of course, that only matters if we use all our DP slots.

Bring in griezsman and we r good

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Assuming we kind of look like this at this point

Dante
Morgan - Emil - Luq
Amaya - Edelman
Tolkin - Reyes - Nealis - Duncan
Coronel

I would leave if I was tolkin.

Need another LB and top 10 MLS LB.

RB could be upgraded, if we got another AM it would be great so Luq would be option off bench. 4 good AMs fit 3 spots add in Omir.

Need another ST and I think Id actually accept Barlow 3.

If Dante does what we hope we could be decent good team but that's a big if.
