Atlanta supposedly is shopping around Villalba who wants more playing time to boost his chances of being selected by Paraguay for the Copa America this year.

He knows the league, could play up top and has a countryman here in Kaku. Lawrence also might not be here much longer so that beef between him and Villalba is a non-factor.

Will Hamlett and Armas do anything?

I love this idea! i think he's better than Muyl and that would give Metro 3 strong starts and strengthen the bench because now Muyl would have to outplay Villalba and if he can then so be it because then that would mean he's playing at higher level than he's ever has and that will only result in NY wins...

If it pushes Muyl to the bench then you have a serviceable sub coming into the game...

NY need a true 9 that's proven....

I really like what I've seen of Gabriel Barbosa in Copa Libertadores... https://www.instagra...d=10uaj1ee31a9o
All of his Copa Libertadores goals..

The guy is clutch

I'm sure they want him for Copa Libertadores but if they get bounced early and MLS offer more than 20 million Flamengo probably take it
I just want Metro to win a title sometime in my lifetime.

Look like he's going to Paraguay.  Weird move.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Johan Carbonero, Jorge Carrascal, Edwuin Cetre, from Colombian u23 i like Carrascal for Metro

Julián Álvarez, Matías Zaracho, Alex McAllister, from Argentina u23
Jordan Rezabala Ecuador u23,
Camilo Moya Chile u23

Jan Carlos Hurtado and Soteldo from Venezuela u23... I think with how stacked Boca Juniors is they'd let go of Hurtado for cheap and he'd be a great addition at Center Foward he is an amazing finisher

Pepe, Antony, Cunho, and Paulinho from Brasil u23 impressive.. I like Pepe and Antony for NYRB especially

This u23 tournament in South America right now is where MLS can find the next Almiron and Josef Martínez....

Yep....LAFC already has snagged a player from Ecuador. I would not be surprised that Teams, with REAL AMBITIONS, like Miami and Atlanta don't have scouts down there as we speak. Here we are with clueless Hamlett...

As I'm watching some Colombian league now called liga betplay....

I thought why not a guy like Michael Rangel 28 yo big target forward that is a good finisher... He's been in great form.. Finished as Champion with America de Cali but they have him on loan... They can't afford to buy him.... Junior just got Miguel Angel Borja so Rangel won't go back to Junior and since they spent money to get Borja maybe they'd take money for Rangel

if he costs $4m or less for a transfer and ~$750k-$1m in salary per yr, might be do-able.

It just doesnt seem like SA is a region of focus for our scouting department at the moment. Tons of focus on Europe.

Cant get a read on a potential ST target because the other signings came without a whisper of a rumor.

Wouldnt imagine someone outside of the usual age range, either.

More the shame.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

A guy i would like to see in training camp is Joe Greenspan from Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

He is a 6'6 CB. He dominated the USL. I wonder if rbny could get a loan from pitt with an option to buy. My only question is if he has the speed for mls.

Cavani is available. His floor in MLS would be 30 goals a season.

But would he press?

If he comes to MLS, he's going to Miami anyway.
