Since there's a college football thread I thought I would start a hoops thread. I'm a big Syracuse fan and would love to see what u all have to say about college hoops this season

PSU is 4-2, took down St. Joes and Bucknell in a week without the number two scorer in the big 10 this year.

We have a legitimate shot of ending up 13-2 going into our Big 10 games. We play Morgan State today at 4, I'll be there.

We almost took down Georgia Tech, and had Claxton not been hurt, I think we would have.

We're 5-2, with Fairfield, Maryland, Sacred Heart and @ Kansas coming up.

Not a really deep squad this year, and Craig Smith graduating (and playing for the T'Wolves) definitely hurts our scoring in the post.

Don't really have a true PG, and our shooting from behind the 3pt line is horrendous. We do have, however, one of the best shot blockers in America. That does help out a lot.

Our starters:

G-Rice
G-Marshall
F-Dudley
F-Williams
C-Oates (will see the bench when McLain comes back from suspension)

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig and Celenio Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

Wrong thread.

Hoops, bro. You can talk about Rutgers Women's Hoops, they're ranked or something...

They lost to Duke last night.

UNC looked nasty against Tennesse.

On the men's side, think SHU will be a power anythime soon? Gonzo!

Some good freshman... nba poaching of underclassmen has kept them down in the past, along with the Amaker ass rape. (Not to mention Orr just not getting the job done)

Hopfully Gonz can build a program. Tough big east this year though... going to be hard to break out. I figure it will be an average season.

Yea he's still there. Sometimes I like him sometimes I hate him. I hate him when he stands under the rim with his hands in the air pretending to play defence, only contributing to fouls. I like him when he moves and can block the occasional shot. They really don't have the big man advantage. That's something they really need to work on in recruiting.

To be honest his 6'10'' at center is not really good enough these days. It's gonna be another year based around the jumper. Then again Billmeier can pretend he's 7 feet tall on the court... it could be a good year.

But I think every player and everything falls on Harvey's shoulders. He'll develop into a good if not great player. But there will be a ton of mistakes along the way.

Yes, that was the point. The men's basketball season will be over before the football season will end.

The women got their asses handed to them Monday night. They were supposed to have one of the best recruiting classes in the country. I'm seriously hoping that its just freshman jitters and the fact that Matee Ajavon had her first game in 9 months. I'm willing to give them a month or two....all that matters is the dance.
