Not sure where else to complain about this, but fuck MLS for making the first one at Buzzard Point a Wednesday night game.

Why would MLS want to see a full contingent of Metro fans there on a Saturday?

League does not give a fuck about supporters unless you are from the mecca of American soccer culture.

Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

DCU is reportedly in talks with John Rooney's brother, as per SBI.

I hope they can figure things out at Everton to keep him there.  It's not even certain Allardyce will stay, I hope he goes and Rooney gets to play in the midfield at Goodison like he wants to, instead of against Metro with the Scum.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Yep, definitely appears to be a done deal.  Have always thought Rooney would handle this league well but that was a couple of years ago.  DC is just run poorly though... And have been for a long time.  They are signing Rooney for the simple reason of opening the new stadium rather than for any actual soccer reasons.  That money could be very well spent on other guys who'd actually make the team a lot better.

Either way, should be an interesting watch.

Transfer fee double what we paid for Kaku.

Edit - actually more than double - its 12M Euros

Approx. $14.3 million. Craziness.

Edit: That was 12 million Pounds, not Euros. Therefore, we're talking $16.2. Even more craziness.

I think that Rooney will still be effective in MLS, but I can see him getting very frustrated with this dumpster fire of a DC team very quickly.

And that's crazy money to pay for him.
