I don't see where Sack said he wanted to see the history/records erased.  It would be difficult yes to merge the histories but something could be done to respectfully honor both the Cosmos' history and the MLS franchise history.

We all know that NYCFC will get all the press in the city news and newspapers. Its happening already and  I doubt you will see them pay attention to the team on the other side of the river.  The Cosmos buying the Red Bulls could be the one of the few ways to keep the team on the NJ side of the river relevant because of the global recognition and historical draw to them.

If given the option of Red Bull ownership for the rest of my life or a Cosmos buyout, I'd support the latter and would be smiling inside every time I saw the BB's inside the stadium, knowing they had to cross the Hudson to get there..........

From what was said on Twitter yesterday it seemed like there was alot more media post game then usual. Hell i saw the NYPost did a full page spread (Right term?) for the RB win yesterday.
