Soccer is a game about a group of people working together to protect and obtain a common goal.
Baseball is a game with a bunch of babies just trying to run "home" and be "safe"

Better question... how does your six year old know the f word well enough that she can read lips?
People around us were talking about what had just happenend, out of my control once other people started to chip into the conversation.
As far as YSA, I substitute words for the bad words.....never had a problem because I scream over it while it's happening. I don't take my daughter to every game so it's not that much a problem for me.

Yeah whatever, remember he said "F$ck you" to you, you dumb ass.... All of you are the first to come and talk crap about the guy and once he scores you're ready to proclaim him God.
Welcome to New York? if a yankees player curses at the fans the media would have him for dinner bro so don't come out here and try to act as if this was the right thing to do.
World calss? after he missed three one on one chances against the keeper not to mention all the other sitters he missed in other games! No one has questioned his career he is a superstar, we questioned his commitment, if you think that by cursing he demonstrated commitment then you are wrong. Once again let me tell you he said "F#ck you"(if what I was told is correct). That's the kind of commitment you like??
It's about being Professional and doing your job properly, if yo guys have a problem with what I said then it's not worth my time arguing with people like you.
Holy shit you're just fucking rambling on about god knows what. Did you even have a point? Next time frame your post in a coherent manner.
Yes, when he sucks people are going to say he sucks. When he plays great people are going to love him. How is that different from any other athlete ever? What are you suggesting? We continue ridiculing him despite scoring a nice goal?
Athletes curse all the time, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Henry is far from the first athlete to curse in a game and he won't be even close to the last. Get over it. It's only a word.
Yes, world class. the pass to Rodgers? World class. The goal? World class. He's fucked up some finishes, but the runs he made to get the opportunities were great. Again, I'm not really sure what you're trying to prove to us. So because he was snakebitten for 3-4 games he's a terrible soccer player?
Theirry Henry is as professional as it gets. The young guys on the club have nothing but great things to say about him. His job is to create goals and he did that twice tonight. And he showed his appreciation for the fans at the end of the night. If you're really this worked up because Thierry Henry said "fuck you" in the heat of the moment then I don't know what to tell you. Go watch golf I guess.

It looks like the booing thing worked after all. I really didn't think it would -- I thought Henry would be more professional than to care if he gets booed by some assholes in the stands. But it seems like it really got to him! Hey, whatever works.
Yeah. We should just be thankful that it worked better for Henry than it did for his Los Angeles bigger-than-the-league counterpart.
I'm disappointed that it took this to light a fire under his ass. But it did, so that's good.

Dude, my point is you are the fan that comes out in the rain to cheer for them, you are the fan who spends his hard earned money to see them, you are the fan that sings your ass off during a game. You are the fan that has the right to criticize his effort as much as you want and you're gonna tell me it's okay for him to say "F#ck you" "f$ck off"?????? What kind of logic is that? if anything you love the club and you have to care about how the public perceives it, how many casual fans will be turned off by this.
If you are a person that likes your kids to be listening to crap like that then there is no more to say. Simple. Anyone could tell what kind of principles and manners you'll be teaching your kids.
As far as my daughter and I, like I said many times before I got season tickets away from ESC and GSS because of the cursing, I bring my daughter to 4 or 5 games per season. When she is not there I sit in ESC or GSS....
Rambling?? Okay bro, if you don't see the point like I said there is no reason for me to argue with you because you're blind.....

Again, what the hell are you talking about? It's not like Henry nailed a line drive at the fans, took off his jersey and threw it on the ground, and then walked off the field giving everyone the middle finger. It was HEAT OF THE MOMENT. How many times do I have to repeat that before it registers in your head? The fans were giving him shit, so he put on his game face and buried the ball in the net, and showed the fans that he meant business. It's the same way that hockey players are pushing each other after whistles and calling each other assholes but then shaking hands at the end of a playoff series. It's in game, not to be taken personally.
Curse words themselves are so meaningless. The word "fuck" itself doesn't harm anyone. It's the connotation our society has given to it. So basically, you can either get worked up about a stupid word or you can realize it's not the end of the world. Believe it or not, your kid isn't going to become a stripper or end up a convict because she heard Thierry Henry drop an f-bomb. Get the fuck over it.

We can agree to disagree bro, the way I see it some one saying that is a sign of disrespect for what ESC and GSS do. I value what ESC and GSS do and that's just my humble opinion ... He came back to give his jersey because he realized he did something wrong and even then he barely put his head up to look at the supporters. Like I said , I value what the supporters do a lot more than you guys I guess
Can anyone picture Henry saying something like that to Arsenal or Barcelona's fans??? he was criticized like crazy at Barcelona, did he do anything like this before???
Don't think so.

If anything it only made me like him even more. It annoys me more when I see him do that lame half assed clap after he misses a well timed through ball from a team mate that he didn't hussle onto. Seeing him get riled up and give it back to the people in the stands that were giving it to him just showed me that he does have some spirit in him and that it isn't all about a paycheck and a working vacation in NYC. I only hope he tries to prove himself more and shove it in the faces of the people he feels were his toughest critics.
This.
I was actually happy to see him banging on the turf when he missed. Shows that the guy might actually care.
