We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
I'm not sure how that math would work out. They make huge profit on concessions, and it costs them nothing to have someone sit in an otherwise empty seat. Maybe it diminishes the STH value, but I would think an empty stadium and the less appealing game day experience that comes with that diminishes that value even more. As long as the cheap seats are in the upper bowl, it shouldn't impact STH secondary market value all that much.
alienating your STHs is the easiest way to murder your financials. It's better to secretly give free tickets to charities and such sometimes than to publicly float discounted tickets. All back to the top 20% of your customers are your biggest revenue drivers.
I got rid of mine in like 2013.. Best decision I made.

I gave up my season ticket this year, ending 24 staight seasons. Prices keep going, give backs keep getting less valuable, and the secondary market is non-existent.
Now that there are these great standing areas (partial to the new Heineken deck) and buying the cheapest seat available on Stub Hub and standing through the game.

I just hope we are able to go to games next season... Good thing is for us, even if there is "reduced capacity" crowds, all the regulars will still be able to go
