Here's another pre-game chant for the noobs who do not know yet.
Excellent thinking, duly noted.

the chorus is what mentions riot squadwhat the hell are they saying?
When we were at school I thought he had it sussed
Fighting the law with the rest of us
Smoking, drinking, acting cool.
('Til) they started treating him like a fool
Then he stayed on his own for most of the time
Dreaming dreams of a life of crime
In and out of trouble, he cheated and lied
But who'd have thought he'd join the other side
Chorus
He's in a riot squad
The wanna fight squad
The shoot on sight squad
For law and right
Down to Hendon with the boys in blue
It's amazing what a few weeks can do
Out in the car, out on the street
South of the river on the frontline beat
Chorus
Cracking heads, it was all a game
A finger was pointed and he got the blame
Now he's back where he started, he ain't got a pound
Queing with the sorts he used to kick around.
Chorus repeat...
so as you can see the lyrics might be understood for trouble too easily

i've always wished we could figure out some way of including this song. with the lyric change i think you're on the right path. add in the cheesy sing song between lines, maybe a tweak or two and we just might have it.

Singing for LA
We Love Ya
Try to look on the bright side of life (just in case we lose - perish the thought)
I know there were a couple of others that Tommy had put on the song sheets that he printed up.
A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man.

I'm just asking for a couple of things in getting those down:
1. Give it time.
It took the squad god knows how long to learn 'We are 138'. Yet somehow I miss one game in 06 and suddenly we've gotten the Korean chant down. That's how we operate, give chants/songs some time.
2. Give it a shot.
Lets ditch the "I'm too cool for this chant." Yeah, I know some chants seem weird at first, but I figure if West Ham can sing about fucking bubbles, everything from there on up is pretty much fair game. If you hear a chant picking up, try to go along with it, even if only by clapping at first (clapping along may actually help a lot of the musically challenged to get the rhythm of the song).
3. Sing.
Seems simple enough doesn't it? You don't have to throw out your throat during a game because you're shouting at the top of your lungs. Squad actually sounds better if we ALL sing rather than some sing, some stay quiet, some chit-chat and others shout at the top of their lungs.
Ultimately, you're free to do as you like. All of these are my personal suggestions, and are just that, suggestions. However, for the sake of that very thing which justifies the groups existence, which is to provide vocal / visible support during games, give these three things a little consideration.

Isaac: So when I told you guys we were on it, I meant to say we're on the motherfucker, go back in there and relax...
