yeah so, maybe do, like sorta, do like maybe anyone else read comics?

here's my pull list:

Batman
Detective Comics
Powers
Ultimate Spidey
Amazing Spidey
(New) Batman and the Outsiders
Powers

Don't read them as much as i used to, i had a huge pullist back in the day circa 2000...cause all i had to pay for was my college beer... now income pays mortgage now and not books, but i still get them when i can.

Batman's regular series is REALLY confusing me right now
Batman and the Outsiders i'm really liking especially since i picked it up only 4 issues in

anyway, any other fans out there? ... i also just recently read, "Crisis on Infinite Earths" from 1985. and going back to read my old copies of the Dark Knight and Kingdom Come

if i say DC rules and most of Marvel sucks... will that inspire rath?

well DC rules and most of Marvel sucks...and batman would whoop in anyone in either universe.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.

Batman is dope, but at his core he's a rich dude who's pissed off. Captain America would destroy him

Preacher is still one of my all time favs... so offensive on so many levels... Hear that they're making an HBO series on it... Hope they don't fuck it up...

Y the Last Man was excellent... I can't believe they stretched that storyline so far...

The "Hush" story arc in Batman is still one of the best Batman stories I've ever read... Jim Lee's artwork was flawless...

Dug Spawn when it was the anti-comic... now, too corporate...

The Rev. Jesse Custer should be played by ???

I always thought Image was far superior to both DC and Marvel in the art/presentation department but Image could never overcome the rich history of Marvel or DC. Anyways, I thought Deathblow, Spawn, Wildc.a.t.s. and Gen13 were pretty cool; when I was 12.

I remember there being a bunch of controversy over the character Caitlin Fairchild in the Gen 13 comic, heres the scoop.

"Gen¹³ was subjected to controversy early in its run mainly due to J. Scott Campbell’s depiction of the female form. Although comic books of the time were well known for exaggerating the feminine form to physically improbable standards, Campbell was particularly risqué in that stories often involved the main character, Caitlin Fairchild, a young college student, wearing as little clothing as possible, without causing the book to be forced to show a warning of its content. Sexual content was also depicted overtly in the script (usually written by Brandon Choi) including unintentional groping, intentional voyeurism, and drunken coupling.

In the second issue of the ongoing series, the character of Sarah Rainmaker was revealed as being a lesbian. Criticism came from all sides over this issue. Many suggested that this was entirely conceived to titillate male readers while the following issue’s letter pages were filled with letters protesting that lesbianism was not appropriate for comic books. Meanwhile, critics from the gay community criticized Rainmaker's portrayal as a flighty lesbian when, in the next few issues, she made out with her male teammate Burnout while drunk. Rainmaker was later revealed to be bisexual.

The series also received some controversy from the fans when it was made known that a panel showing Sarah Rainmaker sharing an open mouth kiss with another woman was replaced with one of a tepid kiss on the forehead. However, J. Scott Campbell has commented on several occasions that the editorial move was a suggestion, not overt censorship, and he agreed with the editor that the original version of the kiss did not suit the story." -Wikipedia

I think that is why I liked comics when I was young!
