That Luis Silva goal is garbage compared to the field.

It's all a popularity contest.

Agreed, but I would not have thought RSL and Silva would move the needle so much.

Did #7 put his hands on Sacha's throat, or am I taking crazy pills?

Saw it too, wouldn't be surprised if the committee retroactively suspends him. Sacha was not pleased.

Meh. Maybe if you're looking for something to justify a suspension. I took it as just a shove.

I was shocked he wasn't sent off. It also made the Kaka thing even more absurd.

And great to see us shooting from distance.

Apparently we've hired Paul Ince to our coaching staff

Seriously though this had to have been something they discussed as a team, seemingly out of nowhere a few weeks ago all of our attacking guys started to take their chances from 20-25 yards out. And what do you know, Felipe, Royer, and Davis have now all scored from that distance. Kljestan's come close a few times too.

It even looked like Colin tried to bail him out after the fact and the referee wasn't having it.

He even tweeted after that it was all a joke between friends

Fans have been screaming about it for years, but Davis has always had that shot from distance.  Hope he uses it more often.

Weird to understand how they weren't taking shots or directed to from distance before because I would think it would be one way to deal with bunkering teams that we faced so often. There had to be a directive because no one would shoot and if they did it would be lade or wallace, who actually scored that way in few games he played and not our top guns. But better late than never and it is part of the repertoire of any strong team, to shoot from the distance especially when we have guys with a strong shot and MLS goalies aren't exactly top notch while BWP is a great poacher and could get some of the rebounds.

Said it in the beginning and still think it.  The switch in formations is what has given the open looks to take shots.  Before they couldn't shoot much because there wasn't space or it was clear that it was just going to deflect and miss.  Now with the 3 offensive mids tight inside, there is always 1 guy who's basically free.  And as mentioned, Davis has always had that shot, just usually was playing more as a 6 compared to how much he plays farther up the field.  Plus shooting is just contagious.  When you see a guy like Royer or Davis score on those distance shots, it reminds you how easy it can be.

If BWP scored that bicycle kick post, that would be the goal of the century.

Would it be Goal of the Week, though?

They do play better without him...

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.
