The third Shield also makes us T3 all-time.
DC & LA each have 4, Cbus 3.
None have won it since 2011.
We have won 3 since then!
Metro reign supreme! MTBFTR!
2013: https://m.youtube.co...h?v=e6GOwSye6-s
2015: https://m.youtube.co...h?v=iZDm269w9qU
2018: https://m.youtube.co...ySDk8-RE&t=164s

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Someone needs to update that wiki photo, once our name is engraved on it for the third time!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

We've been spoiled having such a consistently strong team lately.

We've been spoiled having such a consistently strong team lately.

Since RBA opened, we've been the best team in MLS by points and I don't think it's been all that close.

The RBA bump was in full effect this year - 14 wins in 17 home games. Incredible results.

When we have won at least one MLS Cup then  I might maybe someday perhaps eventually in the future ever so briefly entertain the idea  of being spoiled.

As an STH for 23 years, spoiled has yet to enter my vocabulary.

I have an 8 year old son who says we basically always win the Shield.  And he thinks we're going to win the cup this year.  It feels strange to have produced an optimist.

Congrats to the team.  Bring us the cup!

LOL, good for him. But optimist/pessimist has nothing to do with being spoiled.

i actually think this is the most complete team we have fielded. Can you imagine where we would be if we had gone out and brought in a bona fide true winger as a 3rd DP? Then I might be spoiled...; )

Yeah I've basically been lurking since '96 ('95 maybe because the team hadn't played yet) on the OLD boards.  I'll probably still be lurking in 20 more.  But a shield at least deserves a post!

Perhaps not.
Bloom was off the rose really quick.
I have made 4 of the 11 posts on this thread.

The Shield will be at the VA & ESC tailgates before the game on Sunday! 👍

I love that we won the shield. I love that we broke the points record.

If we get knocked out tomorrow night, this will still be a failed season.

Maybe not failed but definitely disappointing and anticlimactic after the great regular season.

Based on the paucity of responses, you appear to be part of the minority in this.

If we get knocked out tomorrow night, this will still be a failed season.

I refer you to Ivos response: disappointing, not failed.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
