A few of us will definitely be there, join us. This means a lot to the players and their families, and it's a lot of fun (plus probably your last chance to see the Academy this year).Very big game currently scheduled for Tuesday, June 24th at 6:30 at Toyota Park's practice field. The Fire U16s play the Magic U16s. Magic beat the Fire last weekend 2-0 in a very hard fought, bruising game. The Magic took out one of the Fire's defenders with a hard foul in the first have, resulting in a yellow card. Player could not continue. Later in the first half, the Magic knocked down a second fire defender, breaking his wrist (cast was put on Monday), he also couldn't play in the second half.
This is going to be a real battle. If we win, we will still be in it for going to California for the finals. If we lose, we are out of contention.
Support would be greatly appreciated.
Academy game tonight

Please do give it a go...Steve and I will also be there taking notes and photos, so between us we should be able to come up with something good. I'll do some video, as well.hahaha, i don't know much about the team but I'll give it a go. I could use the post game interview practice. I'll also bring my camera and try to snap some pics.

I love this game!!!
Im at work and wont get out until 4pm -ish.
I can "run" over to the orange line and take it to Midway.
Will someone be able to pick me up and drop me off there once the game is over???
If not, then I will see you guys on Saturday.

If I drive, I will. Though you might find it easier just to get the train to Pilsen for a ride from there in that case. I may not, however, be driving. In which I case I will be of no help.Im at work and wont get out until 4pm -ish.

Incidentally, I believe we will be able to bring beer as it's on the practice field, as long as we are outside the actual field -- I think they've finished construction of that little stand next to it, haven't they?

Might do. Will call, thanks. There are some bleachers. Come to Oak Park for a ride.
Not picky...High Life's a good cheap beer. Enjoy all the Goose Island brands. And now I remember, I owe one of the Academy parents a beer (of course, I owe most people I've ever met beers).any favorites? I think I'll be bringing a few with me as well.
Yeah...18th Line stop. I'm fairly sure I will drive, despite some small domestic discomfort it will cause.Give me a call on whatever you decide. Pink line to Pilsen I take it?
Incidentally, looks like Sector Latino and WB05 will be well represented at this game. Paging URS? How about some tifo??
