I read the Armas article on the MLS site and it noted 2 DP's.  Is Sims our 2nd DP?  Kaku is the first.

Actually his old contract was DP too, so technically we had 3 DPs for the 3 days he was here.

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

So a scorer who never scored in EPL and scored once for us last year deserved DP money?

Great call hamlett

lol

he is not a scorer.

Many reasons to criticize this is not one of them.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

he's from England, the sticker price on players from there is much higher. simple as that.

Yep, he's making a killing, and I bet there's a loan fee on top of it.  Makes sense to make him a Young DP since the cap hit is tiny.  That's of course assuming we're doing something with the rest of the cap lol.

Im criticizing it because we need scoring. Spending do slot on him (regular or young) is a waste if he cant potentially score or create goals.

that's why i'm fine with him being back. 200k cap hit. no complaints, just use all that cap space for players who are bigger cap hits.

Not happening this year.. its more about the Right player than if they fit under the cap.

nothing indicates that they will. three rumors associated with the team weren't bad.
