AEG had an asset that was at it's highest possible value at this time and just pissed it all away. I imagine that they had him insured and will collect something, but losing him for a whole year kills any money they may have recouped. Nice move AEG! You may have just pissed away any chance of winning champions cup. I'll file this under "cluster fuck". If Donovan gets hurt, watch the ticket sales numbers plummet.

Chandler saw Omar as a challenge to his stature at Nuremburg and perhaps on the Nats.

This sucks BIG TIME.

At least we have time to sign a new CB. Who should it be?

Edit: Rafael Marquez on loan?

Figure out a way to get a Nate Borchers or get some type of DP exception given Beckham's part time staus with the G's for 2012. Onyewu still has some game left in him.

Time to grow up, be a professional team/league and stop this loan bullshit. The league is getting more challenging and now it's getting longer. As of this year, camp starts in February, so really players are only going to be getting 2 months off.

Unless we were looking to sell him. Or if Omar was looking to be sold. $197,000 is groovy by MLS standards, piddling for a young international quality defender. I don't know if Chandler full-on Showgirlsed him or what, but at some point the only way to avoid injuries in practice is to never practice. This could have happened at USMNT camp, too. I'm bummed out about this something fierce, but I can't get mad about it.

Get well soon OG - Mexico will probably still have a place for you, let alone the Galaxy.

I blame Omar and only Omar. Why the fuck do you want to go to Germany on a two month loan? Improve your skills? Exposure? Pontential move to a bigger club? Didn't Brucey warn about this kind of shit in an interview this year? Now Omar will have four to six month to think about this stupid ass move. What a dick.
