As of now, there have been multiple approaches, but nothing has worked out.

The valuation must still be too high, really have to question the plan though.

From reports the option extended his contract 2 years (not the standard 1) so a sale doesnt need to be immediate, but I dont quite understand buying a 23 year old for $6 million with the plan to sell him on and passing up opportunities to do so.

I would love to see Kaku under a new coach, with a system that fits his skills. Everyone regressed (or was cut) under Armas - an in form Kaku, who understands the system and that he is playing 1 year for a shot at Club America or wherever, sort of intrigues me.

key word there is players union.  The Union will always back player in grievance.  if he gets to point that he tries to sue team we'd probably then sell him like the Larin situation.

Honestly with the log jam at CAM its probably a blessing. Opens up another DP and international spot, and gets Clark more minutes

I do not think Kaku is a good enough player to justify building a whole team around.  The teams that have made it to MLS Cup in the last 5 years have all had players who are better than Kaku even at his best.

and to go one setup further in modern soccer very few teams choose to build team around a pass first playmaker.  Have to bring more to the table than that even though i think Kaku is very good at the things he excels in.

Dyer believes there is at least something to this since he's hearing MLSPA is getting involved.

Needless to say, losing out on a transfer fee to such a frivolous technicality would be a joke. Sell him for whatever you can at this point, but if I'm any GM on the planet I'm not touching this dude with a 10 foot pole knowing how he and his agent go about business.
