For the Dallas Cup starting on Sunday.  So Miazga won't be available for DCU on Saturday or Philly next Wednesday.  Good for the kid, but RBNY might miss him.

For what it's worth, Moreno on Club Tijiuana also got called in.

Sorry,  Miazga... with Armando maybe out, we need you close to home.

Miazga is literally the only other CB left on the roster after Olave and Sekagya.  Eckersley filled in there for Toronto but he's out, Miller has done it for Costa Rica but he's potentially out as well.

Can't really risk having him leave.

I'm a big fan of giving players minutes, but it's not going to work this time with Miazga.

Miazga should start. No reason to risk injury on armando. Plus, it gives us a chance to see if miazga is ready for prime time or needs more reserve matches

Best way for Miazga to develop is to get minutes.  At any level.

Unfortunately he shouldn't start for us because he's not better than Seka or Olave at this point but we also can't afford to not have him for depth.  Timing worked out poorly this time around...

If Dax is out, Petke could do worse than starting Miazga next to Olave and letting Sekagya play defensive mid.  Sekagya was instrumental in a few games from that position last year.

Looks like Petke is keeping Miazga around this weekend.

Miazga off to Dallas according to Big Apple Soccer. I guess Armando is recovered.

Why would they release homegrown contract player?  Someone is better on the reserves team?

It sounded like they released him and Dallas picked him up on the Big Apple Soccer article.  Smarten up, guys.

Edit: The article is all different now.  So whatever.  :pint:

The U20s have advanced to the semifinals by winning all 3 group games against Tigres, River Plate, and Eintracht Frankfurt. Miazga started the 1 game he was available for, I think.

The U20s have a semifinal game against Fluminense on Friday night. The final, if the US makes it, will be Sunday night. PS. Castano hasn't played in any of the games yet.

Is there any video?
