CB is the least of this teams problems. Between that and GK they are pretty set. This team was one of the best defensive teams last season without Aaron Long.

They need a CDM to replace their captain, an attacking midfielder to create more goals, another striker option, and a starting RB before they even think about another CB. Monzon is on a u22 spot, you have committed that resource to him so have to trust him to get minutes eventually.

there were games where we had 7 to 8 guys defending on or in front of the defensive line. How are you going to create any offense when you have guys playing that deep? This is a huge problem and if you dont see how this is connected to the poor offensive numbers then I just dont know what to say.

RB were T-1st in GA with 33, T-21st in GF with 39,
9th on GD with +6.
Unfortunately, did not seem like we could score more.
14 players scored, but 7 of them only once.
Fabio was 2nd with 7, but is now gone.
Is Klimala capable of scoring more than 8?
T-16th Home with 30 pts, 12th Away with 18.
21 teams had winning home records, only 4 away.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

If we play ultra conservative again, sure we can get a clean sheet but we are not going to score anything. Klimala will be in a lot of 1v 3 situations

I agree with most of that, but not sure how you get from here to "need more CB depth" as a solution.

With Coronel and a 3man backline, that should be a stalwart defense.

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

As I noted earlier, RB had the lowest GA in 2021.
There is always room for improvement,
but more is needed at the other end of the field.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
