It is fine to talk about college-related stuff during an interview, but they tend to focus on where you've previously worked, what you did/didn't do/learn, and what your "personality" is like. Fortunately for me, my contact just got me in the door, I had to really do well during the interview in order to get the job, and in the end, I did get the job.
Good luck on the job search.

I am marking my 1st anniversarry on these boards. It was also my first year with season tickets and EVERY single person I met at games, tailgates, roadtrips, etc. were just incredible!!! Weather Italian, Polish, S. American, whatever.......every single person was just incredibly nice to me.
If anyone is looking for a job, wants career advice, is working on a resume, etc., I would be happy to help out. I know how difficult it can be and am happy to give back if possible. I am not a CEO of a company or anything like that, but I am in a comfortable position currently (which is all relative).
Post on here or send me a PM and I'll respond.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. The one thing everyone has to remember is: Its not what you know, its who you know.
It seems with each passing year, the latter part becomes more true.
Besides a basic skill set, it really is a matter of timing and who you know to get your foot in the door.
"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

Got mine from attending a media panel. Doesn't hurt to go to networking events every now and then. Join a professional organization and etc. if you can.

We did talk about that. You and Sznajderman.

I am out of the indoor waterpark (thank GOD!) and a month into my new job and I love it! Out of nowhere I got about 25 phone calls and interviews in a matter of two weeks. I chose the one with killer benefits and huge growth potential with a good starting salary over Real Salt Lake, Atlanta Hawks/Thrashers, Miami Dolphins and a few others.
Best bet: MonsterTrak.com
Its Monster geared towards college grads.
Send me a PM if you are still struggling and I'm sure I can help you out.
ugh seeing this thread reminded me that I am be in the job hunting position com May.

And yes, job hunting blows...My career as a freelancer is just about over due to my intense hatred of constantly having to find the next gig.
