I'll be heading out there tonight around 6:00.

They've had so many people here lately, that they plan on having two games going on.

Joxer Daly's afterwards.

Anybody know what the turf field pickup schedule/proceedure is over at MarVista?  I've seen pennies on the fence midday - but not sure if that's rented practice or pickup.

thank ye,

G-

It looks to me like its a recreational league for people who work in the evenings.

Call Mar Vista Park and find out: (310) 398-5982

I thought wrong:

I just took my daughter down to the playground at lunch, and went over there and asked them.

It's a pickup game - every Weekday at noon, and Saturday's at 4:00.

Some guy just brings the pennies.

Mar Vista Soccer Club is now playing at 2:30 on Saturdays at Mar Vista Park, and 7:00 PM on Thursdays at Cheviot Hills.

You may now go back to ignoring this thread.

They will definitely be playing today, but I may have some "Honey Does" this afternoon.

Although they're supposed to start at 2:30, I'd show up at 3:00.

So what's the current state of this? Many LARS there?

I only go on Saturdays. Scott (Andric) used to go on Thursdays, but I don't think he has been lately.

Nobody there would even know what "LARS" is, but it's a regular pickup game with a LOT of people - they usually have to split up into two groups.

But none of that matters, as I'm playing B&G this Saturday, and in the 562 cup the following week.

Pending any honeydoes, I'll most likely be there this Saturday at 3:00.

For any of you who live in the area, you should really give it a go some time.

They're a good group of guys, and the skill level is fairly high.

I scored 2 goals yesterday, and had a wicked first touch - left footed blast at goal, that just barely went off frame.

Good times.

Josh, Chalky, Andric - When are the you losers going to join me out there?

Thursday nights are at Cheviot Hills in the winter.

They play in the middle of 4 softball fields with lights.

It's always pretty iffy - so I don't go.

I'm in for tomorrow since I missed S&P tonight.

Who else is in?
