Robles is a true professional goalkeeper. He reminds me a lot of Rimando... It's pretty amazing just how many good keepers we have had play for this franchise over the years.

I have to agree. It is something that we may take for granted. But I, have always felt this franchise has had awesome GKs. From pants wearing Paul Grafer to crazy minded Bouna Coundoul....this franchise has been spoiled with great GKs. The ones I named maybe the exceptions among others.

This site lists 21 goalies in franchise history, including Eddie Gaven's famous minute.

Bouna has the lowest regular-season GAA,

Speaking of random keepers, I will never forget Russell Payne playing for about 10 minutes and allowing 2 goals. Prior to allowing the two goals, he made this an amazing save. Shame his GAA looks so terrible.

Bouna was fun to watch, but he is one quirky dude;  the magic dust he poured on the goal line every game, his inability to reach midfield on a goal kick...

Having Tim Ream and #12 in front of him didn't hurt his GAA

IIRC Bouna is like 4th all time in MLS history in GAA. Craziness.

That may honestly be the most surprising stat I've ever seen for MLS. Dude couldn't take his own goal kicks!

The DC game away where Bouna faced soooo many powerful shots, it was forgotten amongst all the goals scored for us at RFK in that game.
