we cant sell out a 25k stadium ... what is causing it. Brand? Staff?

Certainly a combination of factors, none of which have to do with success on the field. Difficulties in marketing, people who wont cross the Hudson for games, problems accessing/leaving RBA, all combine with the brand issue.
Because the numbers are undisclosed, we do not know for sure how bad they are. Nor do we know how much of the claimed ticket distribution is actual face-value sales. Our own eyes tell us how many empty seats there are.
A second leg on a Thursday night is a hard sell.
If we do well in the first leg, interest should be up.
I do not see a full house, am hoping for a good crowd.
IMO, if we advance to MLS Cup, RBA will be full.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Honestly half of the time i don't go to a game its purely cause i don't want to fuck with post match traffic. That one night where they split traffic into three lanes, then tried to merge it back into one put a massively bad taste in my mouth. It shouldn't take more then a hour to travel a few blocks and get out of Harrison.

Yeah, timing of the video is definitely shit (although I would definitely, gladly trade looking like a dumbass and timing the video terribly for reverse jinxing us an MLS cup, which I just bought a ticket to BTW) but as it's for a german/international audience, the broader story is still pertinent, especially as leipzig remain controversial. Plus we started filming right after Marsch left, just took forever to finish.

I definitely acknowledge all the good RB has done on the field. I'm still a fan, and even if I don't like them it hasn't been enough for me to give up on the team. I just 1. question why they do it and what's in it for RB, as I find it a legitimately interesting question. and 2. really appreciate how they're running the team, just hate that they changed the name/crest colors. Lot's of people act like running a soccer team well is somehow dependent on being owned by a company, whereas 99.8% of teams, over-commercialized or not, are not flat out owned and branded by corporations.

So I get that it's dead horse territory for us and people are tired of the same story, it was hopefully pretty novel for people who are unfamiliar with all of rb's teams, or rbny's history. yeah, i'm annoyed that they cut a lot of the details out but it is what it is.

#1 reason for fans abandoning team IMO.

The face of most professional US teams is the Principal Owner (think Steinbrenner), but there is usually some form of corporate ownership. I have read that the Wilpons have created hundreds of LLCs covering every aspect of the Mets.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
