As I posted in another thread:

Let's not begin a pissing match with NE fans. Let's face it, a small group of idiots started a fight with us, that's all. I'm actually more disappointed with our group for not handling ourselves better. Steve the Arsonist was very clear as we left the section that we should stick together and walk out with pride, and not let any taunts bother us. We failed, not the NE fans. I expect them to act like morons, but I didn't expect Fire fans to give them such an easy opportunity.

Fire fans have been on enough road trips to know that every city has idiots and it's our own responsibility to avoid conflict before, during and after a game. We're the ones that constantly claim that this isn't "Major League Friendship". Well, on the way out of the stadium we forgot the lessons that history should have taught us. It has nothing to do with "New England Fans" or anyone else.

One of ours was jumped. Let that be a lesson to us.

And the lesson isn't meant to be "be prepared to fight", it's be prepared to avoid a fight.

And I'd like to add; "Be prepared to defend yourselves when some ass-fuck Massholes think it's a good idea to jump female fans".

I tell you, it's been awhile since i've been to Foxboro but from what we saw last night you can officially add shit fans and shit (half-)stadium to shit players and shit club when describing New England. And like others I couldn't be prouder of our 30 or so fans that made it to Foxboro, especially dealing with Revs fans who came looking for trouble.

FUCK NEW ENGLAND.

so did anyone from S8 defend this Fire fan when she was being 'messed' with by Revs fans?!?!???
Listen i know S8 is NOT about being 'hooligan-like' wannabes or starting fights or anything like that, but please tell me someone from S8 helped her?? yesterday i was so fuckin pissed off that if i would have been there with u guys and have seen some shit like that i would have jumped in immediately if the situation called for it.

Is it wrong and stupid to fight?? yes, ESPECIALLY here in the US where they'll throw u in jail just for even 'taunting' someone, which is pretty gay.

see i can take a lot of shit and taunting from opposing fans cuz we should expected as a supporting group. Personally im a pretty calm guy, and im all for supporting the Fire 100%. But when it turns physical, i think it TOTALLY becomes a different story, ESPECIALLY if it involves a couple guys messing with a girl. What kinda NE pussies would do that?!?!?? I dunno, unfortunately i wasnt there, but that's what i understand happened.

so for whoever was there, and wants to answer a few ?'s:
(just to get the story clear for those interested)
did this girl actually get 'physically' jumped with by NE male fans??
did this happen during/after the game??

IMO: like it or not, when it comes to it, we ALL have a little 'hooligan' in us... it's up to some alcohol to let us show it

it was my girlfriend that got pushed and it took about three seconds before i had kicked him in the side and punched him in the face. a he tryed to kick me and i grabed his leg he swung me around and then he got jumped by the rest of the fire fans. Liam came up hugs Bono is always money and Uncle ben held his won.

he got the shit kicked out of him.

ben and i were talking about how it would be cool to go in the fort and start a mosh pit and throw elbows and his guy can up from behind us and called me a pussy and side i wouldnt, candy step between us and said leave us alone he shoved her and i charged him right away. he put his hands up like he was going to box me, but he was bigger so i just kicked him in the ribs then hit him in the face.

Everyone: We shouldn't draw too much attention since it's apparent NE fans are reading this and it's a public mesage board.

Suffice to say, we waited 15-20 minutes for the stadium to clear out to walk as a group and stay near security precisely to avoid this kind of bullshit. When the four NE fans (who came into our section with others during the game to try to start shit) ran up from behind us and pushed Candy; well that's all I'll say. You don't go pushing women around and expect to be greeted with hugs and kisses.

Every stadium we go to we get escorted out together except Foxboro; every club makes sure we are placed out of the way of their own fans except New England. Total disregard for us. I'd tell the Fire FO to make note of it when their fans come out to Chicago but as we all know their fans don't travel.

...when their fans come out to Chicago but as we all know their fans don't travel.

Those four subhumans weren't 'fans'. Most of the NE fans were 'pleasant' (read: quite passive through out the match) and didn't have enough addrenaline to to start any nonsense (or travel). Those same four subhumans are at every public gathering, anywhere you go, It's contingent upon management and security to proactively keep them from doing their thing. But, as we cannot control management and security anywhere, it's contingent upon us to carry/organize ourselves in a manner to keep said idiots from getting their jollys off.

When I went up to the concession stand to get a beer, the women working the counter had no idea what the nights event was. When I told her it was a soccer playoff match and we were in from Chicago, she said "Oh, well I'll pull for Chicago. I like Chicago." with a tone of not much caring for were she was.

Yes folks, the issue is done. I just don't want people to "start a pissing match" about NE fans. It was just four dorks and isn't indicative of their average supporter. Whenever something bad happens elsewhere while we're on the road, the universe cries about how bad Chicago fans are. I don't want us to be in the habit of doing the same. We're more intelligent than that.

We just need to remember to proactively protect ourselves when we're on the road. As far as I'm concerned, this issue is dead.
