Andrea Canales kicks off her new column at Goal.com with an interview with Landon, and it sounds like he really is going to leave. Key graphs...

It's quite apparent, though, that Donovan doesn't plan to keep going with the team he's been a part of since 1995.

"Once Sunday is over, we'll have some semi-serious discussions with the league and see where their heads are and decide where it goes from there," said Donovan. "It would be nice [to go to Europe], but we'll see what happens.

Though the specific possiblity of playing for Bayern Munich has been raised before, Donovan seemed to be considering other options in Europe.

"Maybe not Germany, but maybe somewhere," Donovan hinted.

Though the Galaxy's poor season couldn't have provided incentive to stay with MLS, Donovan insisted that he wasn't looking to leave due to the team's downhill slide.

"That's not why," he asserted. "I think competitively, mentally, physically, the way I am now, I'm approaching, or in, my prime. I want to have a chance at playing there [in Europe]. So I think this makes sense. This is the right time."

Not good. Not good.

I hope that picture is illustrating Landon running away...cause that's all that's happening from that.

With that said,

you know what this means now right?

Not surprised. I think I'm going to leave to Europe too, because I as well feel that I am in my prime. I've outgrown the galaxy, mentally, physically, spiritually, and I just want my chance over there.

At least that way I'll find a European team to care about that doesn't involve throwing a dart at a map.

Man that would suck... I don't blame the dude one bit, but it still sucks.

I wub Wandycakes.

Landon is one of two stars headed for Europe this winter...it's good to not hate one of them.

Well, that's too bad for the Galaxy, but honestly - it's what Landon needs to do.

Good luck Landon.

The next big question is where in Europe?

I doubt seriously that he'll go back to Germany, as he had two stints there already and didn't like it.

My bet is that it's going to be where ever Bianca wants to go first, and where ever Landon feels comfortable second.

Places that Bianca would like and clubs that Landon could play at in ():

- Paris (PSG Eindhoven)
- London (Fulham)
- Rome (Roma)
- Amsterdam (Ajax)

Of the above, my bet is on Fulham.

Not good. Not good.

Actually, this just might be another in a string of bad things providing a chance at resurrection from the grave.

Like perhaps letting Wall Street go down the shitter and watching people lose their homes while doing nothing to prop up the failed policies and decisions, maybe a complete bottoming out is what this team needs.

Not even a reboot. Start over.

Landon sounds gone.

Beckham will be wintering in Milan. Maybe he stays there for good?

Neither of our signed goalkeepers are worth a damn. Klein and Lewis are solid but probably won't be around much longer.

But we have perhaps the best young defender in the league. Make the kid a cornerstone and build from there. It's sad to say but if the Big Two leave, aside from Klein, Franklin and Lewis, I'd say everyone else is expendable. I'm not saying they should all go. But there's a potential for a housecleaning that will make the last 4 years look like a a quick wipedown.

A SJ win and a Galaxy loss completes the fall.

Go Landon!

This is a looooong time coming...

He needs to bring his skills up to their level so the USMNT can add more weapons to their arsenal...

LDs still one of us...

Can someone photoshop an INS agent behind that picture please?

It doesn't matter how simplistic you make your point, there will be someone who misunderstands you.

Paris (PSG Eindhoven)

? The Parisian team moved to Holland or the other way around? Is this allowed by FIFA? I'm starting a new thread!

Of the above, my bet is on Fulham.

Perfect destination!

The White's toothless attack sure could use him....

It'll never happen!
