MLS side New York Red Bulls are keen on bringing Celtic midfielder to the club where he would join former Celtic duo Lewis Morgan & Patryk Klimala.

There is interest from several other MLS clubs as well as Israel where he previously played

We would finally get to check off Ivory Coast...

oh glad I looked at fan comments on the player instead of youtube etc

Despite his up and at ‘em approach he has poor vision, dives in too easily, tackles on wrong side frequently and his first touch (of a brick) and passing are generally abysmal.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Is he describing Yearwood?

apparently his is now 5th on the depth chart

Soro has made just one start since September after initially featuring regularly under Ange Postecoglou.

Callum McGregor, Nir Bitton and James McCarthy are all ahead of him for the deep-lying midfield role.

And the arrival of Japan cap Yosuke Ideguchi will limit Soro’s first-team chances even more.

Signed by Neil Lennon for around £2million in January 2020, the midfielder emerged as a regular last season.

Soro still has two-and-a-half years left on his deal.

This is why you cant go on fan comments. Was a 90% accurate passer last season, 59% on long balls.

Is he describing Yearwood?

maybe so

https://www.football...summer-20482697

Lennon said: "He was very, very good. Real drive and reading of the game and his passing was very crisp.

"He tired a little bit toward the end, but it was a great all-round midfield performance from him.

"The midfield dovetailed well, the two strikers got the goals and kept a clean sheet, so it’s been a good night’s work."

also this - sounds like he is in a funk and needs a scenery change big time.

https://www.67hailha...m-6-months-ago/

He injected much-needed freshness into the midfield with his aggression, drive, and composure when in possession. He we would often press high and intercept the ball at will, making an instant impression on the Celtic support.

Yet all we’ve gotten since has been a bizarre, rapid decline of form and quality. The Ivorian midfielder has, quite simply, been all over the place this term.

Based on whatI've been able to pick up he sounds like a classic #6 destroyer. Fits as a Davis replacement. Just fucking sucks we have to spend transfer funds and an int'l spot on a guy who might do a great job when we had Davis as a free bingo slot in the lineup.

Seems like a guy who was favored by one manger and isnt by another. Some Celtic fans were saying he is better in a double pivot so a midfield of him and yearwood could be quite energetic

If Struber can clean up his aggression like he did with Yearwood this would be a really good signing.  At least from reading and the videos hes a very good athlete.  Curious how he is on the ball because some of the internet comments make him sound like a dinosaur but the data says he is actually solid on the ball.

strongly would prefer this as a loan with buy option versus straight up buy though.  is of the age that if he works out he could stay for a while.
