The 2012 season is fast approaching. It’s almost time to come back home and support our team the way only we can. A huge part of that is our TIFO: the banners, flags, cards etc. that put our passion on display for all to see. But we can’t do it without YOUR help.

Come out, meet people, and get involved in what will be our biggest season ever!

Aside from general help with painting and such, we also need people who can operate a sewing machine as well as artists/illustrators.

Date: March 10 & 17
Time: Starting at 9AM
Place: Red Bull Arena

Please contact Pete with any questions: paka81@aol.com

to preempt the discussion that will inevitably take place after the first home game: please don't do a card tifo. i/we realize that making a tifo is a ton of work, and that banners / huge signs may not always be practical, but card tifos look bad in person and horrible on tv every time we've done it. i/we appreciate the effort by all the supporters, but it's effort that could be better placed in other types of tifo. thank you.

If you interested email me at the email in the original post.....

Dear regulator if we decide to use cards , we will do so instead of just complaining and telling what's good and what not volunteer to help . Cards look good when ppl in the stands do what they been ask , and that was one of our problems.... Pa system helps with that ALOT....believe me we learned on our mistakes , it will be better ...we can't have 8 the same faces doing it, and then 500 other complaining ....

Pete's spot on. The Petke card stunt came out pretty good and we can definitely pull these off if more people would get involved and, as a result, knew what was going on. We should still try to mix it up a little more this season. The fact that the combined membership of the SGs is into the thousands and we're getting between five and fifteen people on tifo dates is pathetic. Instead of bitching about tifo on MF, how about putting in some time and effort so we have the resources to do something bigger and simpler than the cards.

Cards, are cheap, quick, and reusable. We're going to lean on that crutch until we get more people kicking in time, money, and effort.

Why Red Bull should come in bottles:

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

The ESC set the bar high for the rest of the league's supporters throughout the years for what it meant to truly support your club. From banners, to chants, to sheer volume and mass inside the section, ESC & Giants Stadium was the home of American soccer. Now, the likes of Seattle, Portland and a few other clubs have surpassed the founders and originators of footballing passion in America.

The identity and lack of hardware can be attributed to some of fallout from yesteryear but for a club who draws it's fanbase from the greatest sporting region in the entire country, frankly I think it sucks serious ass to have witnessed what the supporters section(s) have become. I hope this year all of the boys and girls get their acts together and reclaim what it is rightfully ours, the label as being the home of American soccer.

Get your shit together.

I know you mean well, but don't hold your breath. There are too many idiots with anti-red bull agendas to do anything remotely positive.

By insulting them for their feelings, you embolden them and sink to the level of some of them.
